As-Saffat

فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ

fabasharnāhu

So We gave him the glad tidings

بِغُلَـٰمٍ

bighulāmin

of a boy

حَلِيمٍۢ

ḥalīmin

forbearing

فَلَمَّا

falammā

Then when

بَلَغَ

balagha

he reached

مَعَهُ

maʿahu

the (age of) working with him

ٱلسَّعْىَ

l-saʿya

the (age of) working with him

قَالَ

qāla

he said

يَـٰبُنَىَّ

yābunayya

O my son

إِنِّىٓ

innī

Indeed, I

أَرَىٰ

arā

have seen

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْمَنَامِ

l-manāmi

the dream

أَنِّىٓ

annī

that I am

أَذْبَحُكَ

adhbaḥuka

sacrificing you

فَٱنظُرْ

fa-unẓur

so look

مَاذَا

mādhā

what

تَرَىٰ ۚ

tarā

you see

قَالَ

qāla

He said

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ

yāabati

O my father

ٱفْعَلْ

if'ʿal

Do

مَا

mā

what

تُؤْمَرُ ۖ

tu'maru

you are commanded

سَتَجِدُنِىٓ

satajidunī

You will find me

إِن

in

if

شَآءَ

shāa

Allah wills

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah wills

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

l-ṣābirīna

the patient ones

فَلَمَّآ

falammā

Then when

أَسْلَمَا

aslamā

both of them had submitted

وَتَلَّهُۥ

watallahu

and he put him down

لِلْجَبِينِ

lil'jabīni

upon his forehead

وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ

wanādaynāhu

And We called out to him

أَن

an

that

يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ

yāib'rāhīmu

O Ibrahim

قَدْ

qad

Verily

صَدَّقْتَ

ṣaddaqta

you have fulfilled

ٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚ

l-ru'yā

the vision

إِنَّا

innā

Indeed, We

كَذَٰلِكَ

kadhālika

thus

نَجْزِى

najzī

[We] reward

ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

l-muḥ'sinīna

the good-doers

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

هَـٰذَا

hādhā

this

لَهُوَ

lahuwa

(was) surely [it]

ٱلْبَلَـٰٓؤُا۟

l-balāu

the trial

ٱلْمُبِينُ

l-mubīnu

clear

وَفَدَيْنَـٰهُ

wafadaynāhu

And We ransomed him

بِذِبْحٍ

bidhib'ḥin

with a sacrifice

عَظِيمٍۢ

ʿaẓīmin

great

وَتَرَكْنَا

wataraknā

And We left

عَلَيْهِ

ʿalayhi

for him

فِى

fī

among

ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ

l-ākhirīna

the later generations

سَلَـٰمٌ

salāmun

Peace be

عَلَىٰٓ

ʿalā

on

إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

ib'rāhīma

Ibrahim

كَذَٰلِكَ

kadhālika

Thus

نَجْزِى

najzī

We reward

ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

l-muḥ'sinīna

the good-doers

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed, he (was)

مِنْ

min

of

عِبَادِنَا

ʿibādinā

Our slaves

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

l-mu'minīna

believing

وَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ

wabasharnāhu

And We gave him glad tidings

بِإِسْحَـٰقَ

bi-is'ḥāqa

of Isaac

نَبِيًّۭا

nabiyyan

a Prophet

مِّنَ

mina

among

ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

l-ṣāliḥīna

the righteous

وَبَـٰرَكْنَا

wabāraknā

And We blessed

عَلَيْهِ

ʿalayhi

him

وَعَلَىٰٓ

waʿalā

and [on]

إِسْحَـٰقَ ۚ

is'ḥāqa

Isaac

وَمِن

wamin

And of

ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا

dhurriyyatihimā

their offspring

مُحْسِنٌۭ

muḥ'sinun

(are) good-doers

وَظَالِمٌۭ

waẓālimun

and unjust

لِّنَفْسِهِۦ

linafsihi

to himself

مُبِينٌۭ

mubīnun

clear

وَلَقَدْ

walaqad

And verily

مَنَنَّا

manannā

We conferred Favor

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

upon

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

Musa

وَهَـٰرُونَ

wahārūna

and Harun

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُمَا

wanajjaynāhumā

And We saved both of them

وَقَوْمَهُمَا

waqawmahumā

and their people

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلْكَرْبِ

l-karbi

the distress

ٱلْعَظِيمِ

l-ʿaẓīmi

the great

وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُمْ

wanaṣarnāhum

And We helped them

فَكَانُوا۟

fakānū

so they became

هُمُ

humu

so they became

ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ

l-ghālibīna

the victors

وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمَا

waātaynāhumā

And We gave both of them

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

l-kitāba

the Book

ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ

l-mus'tabīna

the clear

وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمَا

wahadaynāhumā

And We guided both of them

ٱلصِّرَٰطَ

l-ṣirāṭa

(to) the Path

ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ

l-mus'taqīma

the Straight

وَتَرَكْنَا

wataraknā

And We left

عَلَيْهِمَا

ʿalayhimā

for both of them

فِى

fī

among

ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ

l-ākhirīna

the later generations

سَلَـٰمٌ

salāmun

Peace be

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

upon

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

Musa

وَهَـٰرُونَ

wahārūna

and Harun

إِنَّا

innā

Indeed, We

كَذَٰلِكَ

kadhālika

thus

نَجْزِى

najzī

reward

ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

l-muḥ'sinīna

the good-doers

إِنَّهُمَا

innahumā

Indeed, both of them

مِنْ

min

(were) of

عِبَادِنَا

ʿibādinā

Our slaves

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

l-mu'minīna

believing

وَإِنَّ

wa-inna

And indeed

إِلْيَاسَ

il'yāsa

Elijah

لَمِنَ

lamina

(was) surely of

ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

l-mur'salīna

the Messengers

إِذْ

idh

When

قَالَ

qāla

he said

لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ

liqawmihi

to his people

أَلَا

alā

Will not

تَتَّقُونَ

tattaqūna

you fear

أَتَدْعُونَ

atadʿūna

Do you call

بَعْلًۭا

baʿlan

Baal

وَتَذَرُونَ

watadharūna

and you forsake

أَحْسَنَ

aḥsana

(the) Best

ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ

l-khāliqīna

(of) Creators
