قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿٢٦﴾

رَبُّكُمْ

rabbukum

Your Lord

وَرَبُّ

warabbu

and (the) Lord

ءَابَآئِكُمُ

ābāikumu

(of) your forefathers

ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

(of) your forefathers

27

قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ ﴿٢٧﴾

He said

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

رَسُولَكُمُ

rasūlakumu

your Messenger

ٱلَّذِىٓ

alladhī

أُرْسِلَ

ur'sila

has been sent

إِلَيْكُمْ

ilaykum

to you

لَمَجْنُونٌۭ

lamajnūnun

(is) surely mad

28

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ‌ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ ﴿٢٨﴾

He said

رَبُّ

rabbu

Lord

ٱلْمَشْرِقِ

l-mashriqi

(of) the east

وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ

wal-maghribi

and the west

وَمَا

wamā

and whatever

بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ

baynahumā

(is) between them

إِن

in

if

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you were

تَعْقِلُونَ

taʿqilūna

(to) reason

29

قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَـٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ ﴿٢٩﴾

He said

لَئِنِ

la-ini

If

ٱتَّخَذْتَ

ittakhadhta

you take

إِلَـٰهًا

ilāhan

a god

غَيْرِى

ghayrī

other than me

لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ

la-ajʿalannaka

I will surely make you

مِنَ

mina

among

ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ

l-masjūnīna

those imprisoned

30

قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿٣٠﴾

قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ ﴿٣١﴾

فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿٣٢﴾

So he threw

his staff

فَإِذَا

and behold

هِىَ

ثُعْبَانٌۭ

(was) a serpent

مُّبِينٌۭ

33

وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ ﴿٣٣﴾

And he drew out

فَإِذَا

and behold

34

قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ ﴿٣٤﴾

لِلْمَلَإِ

lil'mala-i

to the chiefs

حَوْلَهُۥٓ

إِنَّ

Indeed

هَـٰذَا

لَسَـٰحِرٌ

(is) surely a magician

عَلِيمٌۭ

ʿalīmun

learned

35

يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾

قَالُوٓاْ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ ﴿٣٦﴾

أَرْجِهْ

Postpone him

وَأَخَاهُ

and his brother

وَٱبْعَثْ

wa-ib'ʿath

and send

حَـٰشِرِينَ

gatherers

37

يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ ﴿٣٧﴾

فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَـٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ ﴿٣٨﴾

40

لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُواْ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ ﴿٤٠﴾

ٱلسَّحَرَةَ

41

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُواْ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ ﴿٤١﴾

فَلَمَّا

ٱلسَّحَرَةُ

قَالُوا۟

لِفِرْعَوْنَ

we are

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

we are

ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ

l-ghālibīna

the victorious

42

قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ ﴿٤٢﴾

He said

نَعَمْ

naʿam

Yes

وَإِنَّكُمْ

wa-innakum

and indeed you

إِذًۭا

idhan

then

لَّمِنَ

lamina

surely (will be) of

ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

the ones who are brought near

43

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُواْ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

أَلْقُوا۟

44

فَأَلْقَوْاْ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُواْ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾

فَأَلْقَوْا۟

So they threw

حِبَالَهُمْ

their ropes

وَعِصِيَّهُمْ

waʿiṣiyyahum

and their staffs

وَقَالُوا۟

and said

بِعِزَّةِ

By the might

فِرْعَوْنَ

fir'ʿawna

(of) Firaun

إِنَّا

innā

indeed, we

لَنَحْنُ

lanaḥnu

surely, we

ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ

l-ghālibūna

(are) the victorious

45

فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ ﴿٤٥﴾

فَأَلْقَىٰ

fa-alqā

Then threw

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

Musa

عَصَاهُ

ʿaṣāhu

his staff

فَإِذَا

fa-idhā

and behold

هِىَ

hiya

تَلْقَفُ

swallowed

مَا

يَأْفِكُونَ

yafikūna

they falsified

46

فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَـٰجِدِينَ ﴿٤٦﴾

Then fell down

ٱلسَّحَرَةُ

l-saḥaratu

the magicians

سَـٰجِدِينَ

sājidīna

prostrate

47

قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿٤٧﴾

They said

ءَامَنَّا

āmannā

We believe

بِرَبِّ

birabbi

in (the) Lord

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

l-ʿālamīna

(of) the worlds

48

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ﴿٤٨﴾

وَهَـٰرُونَ

and Harun

49

قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ‌ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ‌ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَـٰفٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ﴿٤٩﴾

He said

ءَامَنتُمْ

āmantum

You believed

لَهُۥ

قَبْلَ

أَنْ

ءَاذَنَ

I gave permission

لَكُمْ ۖ

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, he

لَكَبِيرُكُمُ

(is) surely your chief

ٱلَّذِى

alladhī

who

عَلَّمَكُمُ

ʿallamakumu

has taught you

ٱلسِّحْرَ

l-siḥ'ra

the magic

فَلَسَوْفَ

falasawfa

so surely soon

تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ

taʿlamūna

you will know

لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ

la-uqaṭṭiʿanna

I will surely cut off

أَيْدِيَكُمْ

aydiyakum

your hands

وَأَرْجُلَكُم

wa-arjulakum

and your feet

مِّنْ

min

of

خِلَـٰفٍۢ

khilāfin

opposite sides

وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ

wala-uṣallibannakum

and I will surely crucify you

أَجْمَعِينَ

ajmaʿīna

all

50

قَالُواْ لَا ضَيْرَ‌ۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ ﴿٥٠﴾

They said

No

ضَيْرَ ۖ

إِنَّآ

Indeed, we

إِلَىٰ
