An-Najm

وَثَمُودَا۟

wathamūdā

And Thamud

فَمَآ

famā

so not

أَبْقَىٰ

abqā

He spared

وَقَوْمَ

waqawma

And (the) people

نُوحٍۢ

nūḥin

(of) Nuh

مِّن

min

before

قَبْلُ ۖ

qablu

before

إِنَّهُمْ

innahum

Indeed, they

كَانُوا۟

kānū

they were

هُمْ

hum

they were

أَظْلَمَ

aẓlama

more unjust

وَأَطْغَىٰ

wa-aṭghā

and more rebellious

وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ

wal-mu'tafikata

And the overturned cities

أَهْوَىٰ

ahwā

He overthrew

فَغَشَّىٰهَا

faghashāhā

So covered them

مَا

mā

what

غَشَّىٰ

ghashā

covered

فَبِأَىِّ

fabi-ayyi

Then which (of)

ءَالَآءِ

ālāi

the Favors

رَبِّكَ

rabbika

(of) your Lord

تَتَمَارَىٰ

tatamārā

will you doubt

هَـٰذَا

hādhā

This

نَذِيرٌۭ

nadhīrun

(is) a warner

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱلنُّذُرِ

l-nudhuri

the warners

ٱلْأُولَىٰٓ

l-ūlā

the former

أَزِفَتِ

azifati

Has approached

ٱلْـَٔازِفَةُ

l-āzifatu

the Approaching Day

لَيْسَ

laysa

Not is

لَهَا

lahā

for it

مِن

min

besides

دُونِ

dūni

besides

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

كَاشِفَةٌ

kāshifatun

any remover

أَفَمِنْ

afamin

Then of

هَـٰذَا

hādhā

this

ٱلْحَدِيثِ

l-ḥadīthi

statement

تَعْجَبُونَ

taʿjabūna

you wonder

وَتَضْحَكُونَ

wataḍḥakūna

And you laugh

وَلَا

walā

and (do) not

تَبْكُونَ

tabkūna

weep

وَأَنتُمْ

wa-antum

While you

سَـٰمِدُونَ

sāmidūna

amuse (yourselves)

فَٱسْجُدُوا۟

fa-us'judū

So prostrate

لِلَّهِ

lillahi

to Allah

وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ ۩

wa-uʿ'budū

and worship (Him)
