As-Saffat

أَلَآ

alā

No doubt

إِنَّهُم

innahum

indeed, they

مِّنْ

min

of

إِفْكِهِمْ

if'kihim

their falsehood

لَيَقُولُونَ

layaqūlūna

[they] say

وَلَدَ

walada

Allah has begotten

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah has begotten

وَإِنَّهُمْ

wa-innahum

and indeed, they

لَكَـٰذِبُونَ

lakādhibūna

surely (are) liars

أَصْطَفَى

aṣṭafā

Has He chosen

ٱلْبَنَاتِ

l-banāti

[the] daughters

عَلَى

ʿalā

over

ٱلْبَنِينَ

l-banīna

sons

مَا

mā

What is with you

لَكُمْ

lakum

What is with you

كَيْفَ

kayfa

How

تَحْكُمُونَ

taḥkumūna

you judge

أَفَلَا

afalā

Then will not

تَذَكَّرُونَ

tadhakkarūna

you pay heed

أَمْ

am

Or

لَكُمْ

lakum

(is) for you

سُلْطَـٰنٌۭ

sul'ṭānun

an authority

مُّبِينٌۭ

mubīnun

clear

فَأْتُوا۟

fatū

Then bring

بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْ

bikitābikum

your book

إِن

in

if

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you are

صَـٰدِقِينَ

ṣādiqīna

truthful

وَجَعَلُوا۟

wajaʿalū

And they have made

بَيْنَهُۥ

baynahu

between Him

وَبَيْنَ

wabayna

and between

ٱلْجِنَّةِ

l-jinati

the jinn

نَسَبًۭا ۚ

nasaban

a relationship

وَلَقَدْ

walaqad

but certainly

عَلِمَتِ

ʿalimati

know

ٱلْجِنَّةُ

l-jinatu

the jinn

إِنَّهُمْ

innahum

that they

لَمُحْضَرُونَ

lamuḥ'ḍarūna

(will) surely be brought

سُبْحَـٰنَ

sub'ḥāna

Glory be

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(to) Allah

عَمَّا

ʿammā

above what

يَصِفُونَ

yaṣifūna

they attribute

إِلَّا

illā

Except

عِبَادَ

ʿibāda

(the) slaves

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

l-mukh'laṣīna

the chosen

فَإِنَّكُمْ

fa-innakum

So indeed, you

وَمَا

wamā

and what

تَعْبُدُونَ

taʿbudūna

you worship

مَآ

mā

Not

أَنتُمْ

antum

you

عَلَيْهِ

ʿalayhi

from Him

بِفَـٰتِنِينَ

bifātinīna

can tempt away (anyone)

إِلَّا

illā

Except

مَنْ

man

who

هُوَ

huwa

he

صَالِ

ṣāli

(is) to burn

ٱلْجَحِيمِ

l-jaḥīmi

(in) the Hellfire

وَمَا

wamā

And not

مِنَّآ

minnā

among us

إِلَّا

illā

except

لَهُۥ

lahu

for him

مَقَامٌۭ

maqāmun

(is) a position

مَّعْلُومٌۭ

maʿlūmun

known

وَإِنَّا

wa-innā

And indeed, we

لَنَحْنُ

lanaḥnu

surely, [we]

ٱلصَّآفُّونَ

l-ṣāfūna

stand in rows

وَإِنَّا

wa-innā

And indeed, we

لَنَحْنُ

lanaḥnu

surely, [we]

ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ

l-musabiḥūna

glorify (Allah)

وَإِن

wa-in

And indeed

كَانُوا۟

kānū

they used to

لَيَقُولُونَ

layaqūlūna

say

لَوْ

law

If

أَنَّ

anna

that

عِندَنَا

ʿindanā

we had

ذِكْرًۭا

dhik'ran

a reminder

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

l-awalīna

the former (people)

لَكُنَّا

lakunnā

Certainly, we (would) have been

عِبَادَ

ʿibāda

slaves

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

l-mukh'laṣīna

the chosen

فَكَفَرُوا۟

fakafarū

But they disbelieved

بِهِۦ ۖ

bihi

in it

فَسَوْفَ

fasawfa

so soon

يَعْلَمُونَ

yaʿlamūna

they will know

وَلَقَدْ

walaqad

And verily

سَبَقَتْ

sabaqat

has preceded

كَلِمَتُنَا

kalimatunā

Our Word

لِعِبَادِنَا

liʿibādinā

for Our slaves

ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

l-mur'salīna

the Messengers

إِنَّهُمْ

innahum

Indeed they

لَهُمُ

lahumu

surely they

ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ

l-manṣūrūna

(would be) the victorious

وَإِنَّ

wa-inna

And indeed

جُندَنَا

jundanā

Our host

لَهُمُ

lahumu

surely, they

ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ

l-ghālibūna

(will be) those who overcome

فَتَوَلَّ

fatawalla

So turn away

عَنْهُمْ

ʿanhum

from them

حَتَّىٰ

ḥattā

until

حِينٍۢ

ḥīnin

a time

وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ

wa-abṣir'hum

And see them

فَسَوْفَ

fasawfa

so soon

يُبْصِرُونَ

yub'ṣirūna

they will see
