وَإِذَا بَدَّلْنَآ ءَايَةً مَّكَانَ ءَايَةٍۙ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُفْتَرِۭۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿١٠١﴾

بَدَّلْنَآ

We substitute
ءَايَةًۭ

قَالُوٓا۟

they say
إِنَّمَآ
innamā
Only
أَنتَ
anta
you
مُفْتَرٍۭ ۚ
muf'tarin
(are) an inventor
بَلْ
bal
Nay
أَكْثَرُهُمْ
aktharuhum
most of them
لَا
lā
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
know
قُلْ نَزَّلَهُۥ رُوحُ ٱلْقُدُسِ مِن رَّبِّكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ لِيُثَبِّتَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ ﴿١٠٢﴾

وَهُدًۭى
wahudan
and (as) a guidance
وَبُشْرَىٰ
wabush'rā
and glad tidings
لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
lil'mus'limīna
to the Muslims
وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّمَا يُعَلِّمُهُۥ بَشَرٌۗ لِّسَانُ ٱلَّذِى يُلْحِدُونَ إِلَيْهِ أَعْجَمِىٌّ وَهَـٰذَا لِسَانٌ عَرَبِىٌّ مُّبِينٌ ﴿١٠٣﴾

بَشَرٌۭ ۗ

لِّسَانُ

ٱلَّذِى

يُلْحِدُونَ
yul'ḥidūna
they refer
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to him
أَعْجَمِىٌّۭ
aʿjamiyyun
(is) foreign
وَهَـٰذَا
wahādhā
while this
لِسَانٌ
lisānun
(is) a language
عَرَبِىٌّۭ
ʿarabiyyun
Arabic
مُّبِينٌ
mubīnun
clear
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَهْدِيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴿١٠٤﴾

أَلِيمٌ

painful
إِنَّمَا يَفْتَرِى ٱلْكَذِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَـٰذِبُونَ ﴿١٠٥﴾

they
ٱلْكَـٰذِبُونَ
l-kādhibūna
(are) the liars
مَن كَفَرَ بِٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِيمَـٰنِهِۦٓ إِلَّا مَنْ أُكْرِهَ وَقَلْبُهُۥ مُطْمَئِنُّۢ بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ وَلَـٰكِن مَّن شَرَحَ بِٱلْكُفْرِ صَدْرًا فَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ ﴿١٠٦﴾

بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ
bil-īmāni
with the faith
وَلَـٰكِن
walākin
But
مَّن
man
(one) who
شَرَحَ
sharaḥa
opens
بِٱلْكُفْرِ
bil-kuf'ri
to disbelief
صَدْرًۭا
ṣadran
(his) breast
فَعَلَيْهِمْ
faʿalayhim
then upon them
غَضَبٌۭ
ghaḍabun
(is) a wrath
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
وَلَهُمْ
walahum
and for them
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
عَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmun
great
ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱسْتَحَبُّواْ ٱلْحَيَوٲةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا عَلَى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ﴿١٠٧﴾

(does) not
يَهْدِى

guide
ٱلْقَوْمَ
l-qawma
the people
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīna
the disbelievers
أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْۖ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰفِلُونَ ﴿١٠٨﴾

Those
ٱلَّذِينَ

طَبَعَ

Allah has set a seal
ٱللَّهُ

قُلُوبِهِمْ
qulūbihim
their hearts
وَسَمْعِهِمْ
wasamʿihim
and their hearing
وَأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْ ۖ
wa-abṣārihim
and their sight
وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
wa-ulāika
And those
هُمُ
humu
they are
ٱلْغَـٰفِلُونَ
l-ghāfilūna
the heedless
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَ ﴿١٠٩﴾

ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُواْ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا فُتِنُواْ ثُمَّ جَـٰهَدُواْ وَصَبَرُوٓاْ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿١١٠﴾

after it
بَعْدِهَا

after it
لَغَفُورٌۭ
laghafūrun
surely is Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmun
Most Merciful
۞ يَوْمَ تَأْتِى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ تُجَـٰدِلُ عَن نَّفْسِهَا وَتُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ ﴿١١١﴾

يُظْلَمُونَ

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلاً قَرْيَةً كَانَتْ ءَامِنَةً مُّطْمَئِنَّةً يَأْتِيهَا رِزْقُهَا رَغَدًا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ فَكَفَرَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَذَٲقَهَا ٱللَّهُ لِبَاسَ ٱلْجُوعِ وَٱلْخَوْفِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصْنَعُونَ ﴿١١٢﴾

رَغَدًۭا
raghadan
(in) abundance
مِّن
min
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
مَكَانٍۢ
makānin
place
فَكَفَرَتْ
fakafarat
but it denied
بِأَنْعُمِ
bi-anʿumi
(the) Favors of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(the) Favors of Allah
فَأَذَٰقَهَا
fa-adhāqahā
so Allah made it taste
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
so Allah made it taste
لِبَاسَ
libāsa
(the) garb
ٱلْجُوعِ
l-jūʿi
(of) the hunger
وَٱلْخَوْفِ
wal-khawfi
and the fear
بِمَا
bimā
for what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used (to)
يَصْنَعُونَ
yaṣnaʿūna
do
وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَهُمْ ظَـٰلِمُونَ ﴿١١٣﴾

وَهُمْ

(were) wrongdoers
فَكُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَـٰلاً طَيِّبًا وَٱشْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ ﴿١١٤﴾

[you]
إِيَّاهُ
iyyāhu
Him Alone
تَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūna
you worship
إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةَ وَٱلدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦۖ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿١١٥﴾

to other (than)
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
بِهِۦ ۖ
bihi
[with it]
فَمَنِ
famani
But (if) one
ٱضْطُرَّ
uḍ'ṭurra
(is) forced
غَيْرَ
ghayra
without (being)
بَاغٍۢ
bāghin
disobedient
وَلَا
walā
and not
عَادٍۢ
ʿādin
a transgressor
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
غَفُورٌۭ
ghafūrun
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmun
Most Merciful
وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ ٱلْكَذِبَ هَـٰذَا حَلَـٰلٌ وَهَـٰذَا حَرَامٌ لِّتَفْتَرُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ ﴿١١٦﴾

so that you invent
عَلَى
ʿalā
about
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ٱلْكَذِبَ ۚ
l-kadhiba
the lie
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
يَفْتَرُونَ
yaftarūna
invent
عَلَى
ʿalā
about
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ٱلْكَذِبَ
l-kadhiba
the lie
لَا
lā
they will not succeed
يُفْلِحُونَ
yuf'liḥūna
they will not succeed
مَتَـٰعٌ قَلِيلٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴿١١٧﴾

We have forbidden

to you

قَبْلُ ۖ

before
وَمَا
wamā
And not
ظَلَمْنَـٰهُمْ
ẓalamnāhum
We wronged them
وَلَـٰكِن
walākin
but
كَانُوٓا۟
kānū
they used (to)
أَنفُسَهُمْ
anfusahum
themselves
يَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūna
wrong
ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ عَمِلُواْ ٱلسُّوٓءَ بِجَهَـٰلَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابُواْ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٲلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوٓاْ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿١١٩﴾

and corrected themselves
إِنَّ

رَبَّكَ

مِنۢ

بَعْدِهَا
baʿdihā
after that
لَغَفُورٌۭ
laghafūrun
(is) surely Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌ
raḥīmun
Most Merciful
إِنَّ إِبْرَٲهِيمَ كَانَ أُمَّةً قَانِتًا لِّلَّهِ حَنِيفًا وَلَمْ يَكُ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ﴿١٢٠﴾

شَاكِرًا لِّأَنْعُمِهِۚ ٱجْتَبَـٰهُ وَهَدَٮٰهُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٲطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ﴿١٢١﴾

لِّأَنْعُمِهِ ۚ

for His favors
ٱجْتَبَىٰهُ

وَهَدَىٰهُ

ilā
to
صِرَٰطٍۢ
ṣirāṭin
the way
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīmin
straight
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةًۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ ﴿١٢٢﴾

And We gave him

ٱلدُّنْيَا

حَسَنَةًۭ ۖ
ḥasanatan

وَإِنَّهُۥ

and indeed, he
فِى

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
l-ākhirati
the Hereafter
لَمِنَ
lamina
(he) will surely (be) among
ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīna
the righteous
ثُمَّ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ أَنِ ٱتَّبِعْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَٲهِيمَ حَنِيفًاۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ﴿١٢٣﴾

مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
l-mush'rikīna
the polytheists
إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ ٱلسَّبْتُ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخْتَلَفُواْ فِيهِۚ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ ﴿١٢٤﴾

will surely judge
بَيْنَهُمْ

يَوْمَ
yawma
(on) the Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection
فِيمَا
fīmā
in what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used (to)
فِيهِ
fīhi
[in it]
يَخْتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifūna
differ
ٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَٱلْمَوْعِظَةِ ٱلْحَسَنَةِۖ وَجَـٰدِلْهُم بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ ﴿١٢٥﴾

إِنَّ

Indeed
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
your Lord
هُوَ
huwa
He
أَعْلَمُ
aʿlamu
(is) most knowing
بِمَن
biman
of who
ضَلَّ
ḍalla
has strayed
عَن
ʿan
from
سَبِيلِهِۦ ۖ
sabīlihi
His way
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
أَعْلَمُ
aʿlamu
(is) most knowing
بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
bil-muh'tadīna
of the guided ones
