Al-Waqi'ah

وَإِنَّهُۥ

wa-innahu

And indeed, it

لَقَسَمٌۭ

laqasamun

(is) surely an oath

لَّوْ

law

if

تَعْلَمُونَ

taʿlamūna

you know

عَظِيمٌ

ʿaẓīmun

great

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed, it

لَقُرْءَانٌۭ

laqur'ānun

(is) surely, a Quran

كَرِيمٌۭ

karīmun

noble

فِى

fī

In

كِتَـٰبٍۢ

kitābin

a Book

مَّكْنُونٍۢ

maknūnin

well-guarded

لَّا

lā

None

يَمَسُّهُۥٓ

yamassuhu

touch it

إِلَّا

illā

except

ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ

l-muṭaharūna

the purified

تَنزِيلٌۭ

tanzīlun

A Revelation

مِّن

min

from

رَّبِّ

rabbi

(the) Lord

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

l-ʿālamīna

(of) the worlds

أَفَبِهَـٰذَا

afabihādhā

Then is it to this

ٱلْحَدِيثِ

l-ḥadīthi

statement

أَنتُم

antum

that you

مُّدْهِنُونَ

mud'hinūna

(are) indifferent

وَتَجْعَلُونَ

watajʿalūna

And you make

رِزْقَكُمْ

riz'qakum

your provision

أَنَّكُمْ

annakum

that you

تُكَذِّبُونَ

tukadhibūna

deny

فَلَوْلَآ

falawlā

Then why not

إِذَا

idhā

when

بَلَغَتِ

balaghati

it reaches

ٱلْحُلْقُومَ

l-ḥul'qūma

the throat

وَأَنتُمْ

wa-antum

And you

حِينَئِذٍۢ

ḥīna-idhin

(at) that time

تَنظُرُونَ

tanẓurūna

look on

وَنَحْنُ

wanaḥnu

And We

أَقْرَبُ

aqrabu

(are) nearer

إِلَيْهِ

ilayhi

to him

مِنكُمْ

minkum

than you

وَلَـٰكِن

walākin

but

لَّا

lā

you (do) not see

تُبْصِرُونَ

tub'ṣirūna

you (do) not see

فَلَوْلَآ

falawlā

Then why not

إِن

in

if

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you are

غَيْرَ

ghayra

not

مَدِينِينَ

madīnīna

to be recompensed

تَرْجِعُونَهَآ

tarjiʿūnahā

Bring it back

إِن

in

if

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you are

صَـٰدِقِينَ

ṣādiqīna

truthful

فَأَمَّآ

fa-ammā

Then

إِن

in

if

كَانَ

kāna

he was

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

l-muqarabīna

those brought near

فَرَوْحٌۭ

farawḥun

Then rest

وَرَيْحَانٌۭ

warayḥānun

and bounty

وَجَنَّتُ

wajannatu

and a Garden

نَعِيمٍۢ

naʿīmin

(of) Pleasure

وَأَمَّآ

wa-ammā

And

إِن

in

if

كَانَ

kāna

he was

مِنْ

min

of

أَصْحَـٰبِ

aṣḥābi

(the) companions

ٱلْيَمِينِ

l-yamīni

(of) the right

فَسَلَـٰمٌۭ

fasalāmun

Then, peace

لَّكَ

laka

for you

مِنْ

min

[from]

أَصْحَـٰبِ

aṣḥābi

(the) companions

ٱلْيَمِينِ

l-yamīni

(of) the right

وَأَمَّآ

wa-ammā

But

إِن

in

if

كَانَ

kāna

he was

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

l-mukadhibīna

the deniers

ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

l-ḍālīna

the astray

فَنُزُلٌۭ

fanuzulun

Then, hospitality

مِّنْ

min

of

حَمِيمٍۢ

ḥamīmin

(the) scalding water

وَتَصْلِيَةُ

wataṣliyatu

And burning

جَحِيمٍ

jaḥīmin

(in) Hellfire

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

هَـٰذَا

hādhā

this

لَهُوَ

lahuwa

surely, it

حَقُّ

ḥaqqu

(is the) truth

ٱلْيَقِينِ

l-yaqīni

certain

فَسَبِّحْ

fasabbiḥ

So glorify

بِٱسْمِ

bi-is'mi

(the) name

رَبِّكَ

rabbika

(of) your Lord

ٱلْعَظِيمِ

l-ʿaẓīmi

the Most Great
