إِذَا

idhā

When

وَقَعَتِ

waqaʿati

occurs

ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ

l-wāqiʿatu

the Event

لَيْسَ

laysa

Not

لِوَقْعَتِهَا

liwaqʿatihā

at its occurrence

كَاذِبَةٌ

kādhibatun

a denial

خَافِضَةٌۭ

khāfiḍatun

Bringing down

رَّافِعَةٌ

rāfiʿatun

raising up

إِذَا

idhā

When

رُجَّتِ

rujjati

will be shaken

ٱلْأَرْضُ

l-arḍu

the earth

رَجًّۭا

rajjan

(with) a shaking

وَبُسَّتِ

wabussati

And will be crumbled

ٱلْجِبَالُ

l-jibālu

the mountains

بَسًّۭا

bassan

(with awful) crumbling

فَكَانَتْ

fakānat

So they become

هَبَآءًۭ

habāan

dust particles

مُّنۢبَثًّۭا

munbathan

dispersing

وَكُنتُمْ

wakuntum

And you will become

أَزْوَٰجًۭا

azwājan

kinds

ثَلَـٰثَةًۭ

thalāthatan

three

فَأَصْحَـٰبُ

fa-aṣḥābu

Then (the) companions

ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ

l-maymanati

(of) the right

مَآ

mā

what

أَصْحَـٰبُ

aṣḥābu

(are the) companions

ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ

l-maymanati

(of) the right

وَأَصْحَـٰبُ

wa-aṣḥābu

And (the) companions

ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ

l-mashamati

(of) the left

مَآ

mā

what

أَصْحَـٰبُ

aṣḥābu

(are the) companions

ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ

l-mashamati

(of) the left

وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ

wal-sābiqūna

And the foremost

ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ

l-sābiqūna

(are) the foremost

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

Those

ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ

l-muqarabūna

(are) the nearest ones

فِى

fī

In

جَنَّـٰتِ

jannāti

Gardens

ٱلنَّعِيمِ

l-naʿīmi

(of) Pleasure

ثُلَّةٌۭ

thullatun

A company

مِّنَ

mina

of

ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

l-awalīna

the former (people)

وَقَلِيلٌۭ

waqalīlun

And a few

مِّنَ

mina

of

ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ

l-ākhirīna

the later (people)

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

On

سُرُرٍۢ

sururin

thrones

مَّوْضُونَةٍۢ

mawḍūnatin

decorated

مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ

muttakiīna

Reclining

عَلَيْهَا

ʿalayhā

on them

مُتَقَـٰبِلِينَ

mutaqābilīna

facing each other

يَطُوفُ

yaṭūfu

Will circulate

عَلَيْهِمْ

ʿalayhim

among them

وِلْدَٰنٌۭ

wil'dānun

boys

مُّخَلَّدُونَ

mukhalladūna

immortal

بِأَكْوَابٍۢ

bi-akwābin

With vessels

وَأَبَارِيقَ

wa-abārīqa

and jugs

وَكَأْسٍۢ

wakasin

and a cup

مِّن

min

from

مَّعِينٍۢ

maʿīnin

a flowing stream

لَّا

lā

Not

يُصَدَّعُونَ

yuṣaddaʿūna

they will get headache

عَنْهَا

ʿanhā

therefrom

وَلَا

walā

and not

يُنزِفُونَ

yunzifūna

they will get intoxicated

وَفَـٰكِهَةٍۢ

wafākihatin

And fruits

مِّمَّا

mimmā

of what

يَتَخَيَّرُونَ

yatakhayyarūna

they select

وَلَحْمِ

walaḥmi

And (the) flesh

طَيْرٍۢ

ṭayrin

(of) fowls

مِّمَّا

mimmā

of what

يَشْتَهُونَ

yashtahūna

they desire

وَحُورٌ

waḥūrun

And fair ones

عِينٌۭ

ʿīnun

(with) large eyes

كَأَمْثَـٰلِ

ka-amthāli

Like

ٱللُّؤْلُؤِ

l-lu'lu-i

pearls

ٱلْمَكْنُونِ

l-maknūni

well-protected

جَزَآءًۢ

jazāan

A reward

بِمَا

bimā

for what

كَانُوا۟

kānū

they used (to)

يَعْمَلُونَ

yaʿmalūna

do

لَا

lā

Not

يَسْمَعُونَ

yasmaʿūna

they will hear

فِيهَا

fīhā

therein

لَغْوًۭا

laghwan

vain talk

وَلَا

walā

and not

تَأْثِيمًا

tathīman

sinful (speech)
