يَمْحَقُ

yamḥaqu

Destroys

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟

l-riba

the usury

وَيُرْبِى

wayur'bī

and (gives) increase

ٱلصَّدَقَـٰتِ ۗ

l-ṣadaqāti

(for) the charities

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

لَا

lā

(does) not

يُحِبُّ

yuḥibbu

love

كُلَّ

kulla

every

كَفَّارٍ

kaffārin

ungrateful

أَثِيمٍ

athīmin

sinner

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

ءَامَنُوا۟

āmanū

believe[d]

وَعَمِلُوا۟

waʿamilū

and did

ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ

l-ṣāliḥāti

good deeds

وَأَقَامُوا۟

wa-aqāmū

and established

ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ

l-ṣalata

the prayer

وَءَاتَوُا۟

waātawū

and gave

ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ

l-zakata

the zakah

لَهُمْ

lahum

for them

أَجْرُهُمْ

ajruhum

their reward

عِندَ

ʿinda

(is) with

رَبِّهِمْ

rabbihim

their Lord

وَلَا

walā

and no

خَوْفٌ

khawfun

fear

عَلَيْهِمْ

ʿalayhim

on them

وَلَا

walā

and not

هُمْ

hum

they

يَحْزَنُونَ

yaḥzanūna

will grieve

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

yāayyuhā

O you

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

who

ءَامَنُوا۟

āmanū

believe[d]

ٱتَّقُوا۟

ittaqū

Fear

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

وَذَرُوا۟

wadharū

and give up

مَا

mā

what

بَقِىَ

baqiya

remained

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلرِّبَوٰٓا۟

l-riba

[the] usury

إِن

in

if

كُنتُم

kuntum

you are

مُّؤْمِنِينَ

mu'minīna

believers

فَإِن

fa-in

And if

لَّمْ

lam

not

تَفْعَلُوا۟

tafʿalū

you do

فَأْذَنُوا۟

fadhanū

then be informed

بِحَرْبٍۢ

biḥarbin

of a war

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَرَسُولِهِۦ ۖ

warasūlihi

and His Messenger

وَإِن

wa-in

And if

تُبْتُمْ

tub'tum

you repent

فَلَكُمْ

falakum

then for you

رُءُوسُ

ruūsu

(is)

أَمْوَٰلِكُمْ

amwālikum

your capital

لَا

lā

(do) not

تَظْلِمُونَ

taẓlimūna

wrong

وَلَا

walā

and not

تُظْلَمُونَ

tuẓ'lamūna

you will be wronged

وَإِن

wa-in

And if

كَانَ

kāna

is

ذُو

dhū

the (debtor)

عُسْرَةٍۢ

ʿus'ratin

in difficulty

فَنَظِرَةٌ

fanaẓiratun

then postponement

إِلَىٰ

ilā

until

مَيْسَرَةٍۢ ۚ

maysaratin

ease

وَأَن

wa-an

And if

تَصَدَّقُوا۟

taṣaddaqū

you remit as charity

خَيْرٌۭ

khayrun

(it is) better

لَّكُمْ ۖ

lakum

for you

إِن

in

If

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you

تَعْلَمُونَ

taʿlamūna

know

وَٱتَّقُوا۟

wa-ittaqū

And fear

يَوْمًۭا

yawman

a Day

تُرْجَعُونَ

tur'jaʿūna

you will be brought back

فِيهِ

fīhi

[in it]

إِلَى

ilā

to

ٱللَّهِ ۖ

l-lahi

Allah

ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

تُوَفَّىٰ

tuwaffā

(will be) repaid in full

كُلُّ

kullu

every

نَفْسٍۢ

nafsin

soul

مَّا

mā

what

كَسَبَتْ

kasabat

it earned

وَهُمْ

wahum

and they

لَا

lā

not

يُظْلَمُونَ

yuẓ'lamūna

will be wronged

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

yāayyuhā

O you

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

who

ءَامَنُوٓا۟

āmanū

believe[d]

إِذَا

idhā

When

تَدَايَنتُم

tadāyantum

you contract with one another

بِدَيْنٍ

bidaynin

any debt

إِلَىٰٓ

ilā

for

أَجَلٍۢ

ajalin

a term

مُّسَمًّۭى

musamman

fixed

فَٱكْتُبُوهُ ۚ

fa-uk'tubūhu

then write it

وَلْيَكْتُب

walyaktub

And let write

بَّيْنَكُمْ

baynakum

between you

كَاتِبٌۢ

kātibun

a scribe

بِٱلْعَدْلِ ۚ

bil-ʿadli

in justice

وَلَا

walā

And not

يَأْبَ

yaba

(should) refuse

كَاتِبٌ

kātibun

a scribe

أَن

an

that

يَكْتُبَ

yaktuba

he writes

كَمَا

kamā

as

عَلَّمَهُ

ʿallamahu

(has) taught him

ٱللَّهُ ۚ

l-lahu

Allah

فَلْيَكْتُبْ

falyaktub

So let him write

وَلْيُمْلِلِ

walyum'lili

and let dictate

ٱلَّذِى

alladhī

the one

عَلَيْهِ

ʿalayhi

on whom

ٱلْحَقُّ

l-ḥaqu

(is) the right

وَلْيَتَّقِ

walyattaqi

and let him fear

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

رَبَّهُۥ

rabbahu

his Lord

وَلَا

walā

and (let him) not

يَبْخَسْ

yabkhas

diminish

مِنْهُ

min'hu

from it

شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ

shayan

anything

فَإِن

fa-in

Then if

كَانَ

kāna

is

ٱلَّذِى

alladhī

the one

عَلَيْهِ

ʿalayhi

on him

ٱلْحَقُّ

l-ḥaqu

(is) the right

سَفِيهًا

safīhan

(of) limited understanding

أَوْ

aw

or

ضَعِيفًا

ḍaʿīfan

weak

أَوْ

aw

or

لَا

lā

not

يَسْتَطِيعُ

yastaṭīʿu

capable

أَن

an

that

يُمِلَّ

yumilla

(can) dictate

هُوَ

huwa

he

فَلْيُمْلِلْ

falyum'lil

then let dictate

وَلِيُّهُۥ

waliyyuhu

his guardian

بِٱلْعَدْلِ ۚ

bil-ʿadli

with justice

وَٱسْتَشْهِدُوا۟

wa-is'tashhidū

And call for evidence

شَهِيدَيْنِ

shahīdayni

two witnesses

مِن

min

among

رِّجَالِكُمْ ۖ

rijālikum

your men

فَإِن

fa-in

And if

لَّمْ

lam

not

يَكُونَا

yakūnā

there are

رَجُلَيْنِ

rajulayni

two men

فَرَجُلٌۭ

farajulun

then one man

وَٱمْرَأَتَانِ

wa-im'ra-atāni

and two women

مِمَّن

mimman

of whom

تَرْضَوْنَ

tarḍawna

you agree

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلشُّهَدَآءِ

l-shuhadāi

[the] witnesses

أَن

an

(so) that (if)

تَضِلَّ

taḍilla

[she] errs

إِحْدَىٰهُمَا

iḥ'dāhumā

one of the two

فَتُذَكِّرَ

fatudhakkira

then will remind

إِحْدَىٰهُمَا

iḥ'dāhumā

one of the two

ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ ۚ

l-ukh'rā

the other

وَلَا

walā

And not

يَأْبَ

yaba

(should) refuse

ٱلشُّهَدَآءُ

l-shuhadāu

the witnesses

إِذَا

idhā

when

مَا

mā

that

دُعُوا۟ ۚ

duʿū

they are called

وَلَا

walā

And not

تَسْـَٔمُوٓا۟

tasamū

(be) weary

أَن

an

that

تَكْتُبُوهُ

taktubūhu

you write it

صَغِيرًا

ṣaghīran

small

أَوْ

aw

or

كَبِيرًا

kabīran

large

إِلَىٰٓ

ilā

for

أَجَلِهِۦ ۚ

ajalihi

its term

ذَٰلِكُمْ

dhālikum

That

أَقْسَطُ

aqsaṭu

(is) more just

عِندَ

ʿinda

near

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَأَقْوَمُ

wa-aqwamu

and more upright

لِلشَّهَـٰدَةِ

lilshahādati

for evidence

وَأَدْنَىٰٓ

wa-adnā

and nearer

أَلَّا

allā

that not

تَرْتَابُوٓا۟ ۖ

tartābū

you (have) doubt

إِلَّآ

illā

except

أَن

an

that

تَكُونَ

takūna

be

تِجَـٰرَةً

tijāratan

a transaction

حَاضِرَةًۭ

ḥāḍiratan

present

تُدِيرُونَهَا

tudīrūnahā

you carry out

بَيْنَكُمْ

baynakum

among you

فَلَيْسَ

falaysa

then not

عَلَيْكُمْ

ʿalaykum

on you

جُنَاحٌ

junāḥun

any sin

أَلَّا

allā

that not

تَكْتُبُوهَا ۗ

taktubūhā

you write it

وَأَشْهِدُوٓا۟

wa-ashhidū

And take witness

إِذَا

idhā

when

تَبَايَعْتُمْ ۚ

tabāyaʿtum

you make commercial transaction

وَلَا

walā

And not

يُضَآرَّ

yuḍārra

(should) be harmed

كَاتِبٌۭ

kātibun

(the) scribe

وَلَا

walā

and not

شَهِيدٌۭ ۚ

shahīdun

(the) witness

وَإِن

wa-in

and if

تَفْعَلُوا۟

tafʿalū

you do

فَإِنَّهُۥ

fa-innahu

then indeed it

فُسُوقٌۢ

fusūqun

(is) sinful conduct

بِكُمْ ۗ

bikum

for you

وَٱتَّقُوا۟

wa-ittaqū

and fear

ٱللَّهَ ۖ

l-laha

Allah

وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ

wayuʿallimukumu

And teaches

ٱللَّهُ ۗ

l-lahu

Allah

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

بِكُلِّ

bikulli

of every

شَىْءٍ

shayin

thing

عَلِيمٌۭ

ʿalīmun

(is) All-Knower

۞ وَإِن

wa-in

And if

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you are

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

on

سَفَرٍۢ

safarin

a journey

وَلَمْ

walam

and not

تَجِدُوا۟

tajidū

you find

كَاتِبًۭا

kātiban

a scribe

فَرِهَـٰنٌۭ

farihānun

then pledge

مَّقْبُوضَةٌۭ ۖ

maqbūḍatun

in hand

فَإِنْ

fa-in

Then if

أَمِنَ

amina

entrusts

بَعْضُكُم

baʿḍukum

one of you

بَعْضًۭا

baʿḍan

(to) another

فَلْيُؤَدِّ

falyu-addi

then let discharge

ٱلَّذِى

alladhī

the one who

ٱؤْتُمِنَ

u'tumina

is entrusted

أَمَـٰنَتَهُۥ

amānatahu

his trust

وَلْيَتَّقِ

walyattaqi

And let him fear

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

رَبَّهُۥ ۗ

rabbahu

his Lord

وَلَا

walā

And (do) not

تَكْتُمُوا۟

taktumū

conceal

ٱلشَّهَـٰدَةَ ۚ

l-shahādata

the evidence

وَمَن

waman

And whoever

يَكْتُمْهَا

yaktum'hā

conceals it

فَإِنَّهُۥٓ

fa-innahu

then indeed he

ءَاثِمٌۭ

āthimun

(is) sinful

قَلْبُهُۥ ۗ

qalbuhu

his heart

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

بِمَا

bimā

of what

تَعْمَلُونَ

taʿmalūna

you do

عَلِيمٌۭ

ʿalīmun

(is) All-Knower

لِّلَّهِ

lillahi

To Allah (belongs)

مَا

mā

whatever

فِى

fī

(is) in

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

l-samāwāti

the heavens

وَمَا

wamā

and whatever

فِى

fī

(is) in

ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ

l-arḍi

the earth

وَإِن

wa-in

And if

تُبْدُوا۟

tub'dū

you disclose

مَا

mā

what

فِىٓ

fī

(is) in

أَنفُسِكُمْ

anfusikum

yourselves

أَوْ

aw

or

تُخْفُوهُ

tukh'fūhu

you conceal it

يُحَاسِبْكُم

yuḥāsib'kum

will call you to account

بِهِ

bihi

for it

ٱللَّهُ ۖ

l-lahu

Allah

فَيَغْفِرُ

fayaghfiru

Then, He will forgive

لِمَن

liman

[to] whom

يَشَآءُ

yashāu

He wills

وَيُعَذِّبُ

wayuʿadhibu

and He will punish

مَن

man

whom

يَشَآءُ ۗ

yashāu

He wills

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

on

كُلِّ

kulli

every

شَىْءٍۢ

shayin

thing

قَدِيرٌ

qadīrun

(is) All-Powerful

ءَامَنَ

āmana

Believed

ٱلرَّسُولُ

l-rasūlu

the Messenger

بِمَآ

bimā

in what

أُنزِلَ

unzila

was revealed

إِلَيْهِ

ilayhi

to him

مِن

min

from

رَّبِّهِۦ

rabbihi

his Lord

وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ

wal-mu'minūna

and the believers

كُلٌّ

kullun

All

ءَامَنَ

āmana

believed

بِٱللَّهِ

bil-lahi

in Allah

وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ

wamalāikatihi

and His Angels

وَكُتُبِهِۦ

wakutubihi

and His Books

وَرُسُلِهِۦ

warusulihi

and His Messengers

لَا

lā

Not

نُفَرِّقُ

nufarriqu

we make distinction

بَيْنَ

bayna

between

أَحَدٍۢ

aḥadin

any

مِّن

min

of

رُّسُلِهِۦ ۚ

rusulihi

His messengers

وَقَالُوا۟

waqālū

And they said

سَمِعْنَا

samiʿ'nā

We heard

وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ

wa-aṭaʿnā

and we obeyed

غُفْرَانَكَ

ghuf'rānaka

(Grant) us Your forgiveness

رَبَّنَا

rabbanā

our Lord

وَإِلَيْكَ

wa-ilayka

and to You

ٱلْمَصِيرُ

l-maṣīru

(is) the return

لَا

lā

(Does) not

يُكَلِّفُ

yukallifu

burden

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

نَفْسًا

nafsan

any soul

إِلَّا

illā

except

وُسْعَهَا ۚ

wus'ʿahā

its capacity

لَهَا

lahā

for it

مَا

mā

what

كَسَبَتْ

kasabat

it earned

وَعَلَيْهَا

waʿalayhā

and against it

مَا

mā

what

ٱكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ

ik'tasabat

it earned

رَبَّنَا

rabbanā

Our Lord

لَا

lā

(Do) not

تُؤَاخِذْنَآ

tuākhidh'nā

take us to task

إِن

in

if

نَّسِينَآ

nasīnā

we forget

أَوْ

aw

or

أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ

akhṭanā

we err

رَبَّنَا

rabbanā

Our Lord

وَلَا

walā

And (do) not

تَحْمِلْ

taḥmil

lay

عَلَيْنَآ

ʿalaynā

upon us

إِصْرًۭا

iṣ'ran

a burden

كَمَا

kamā

like that

حَمَلْتَهُۥ

ḥamaltahu

(which) You laid [it]

عَلَى

ʿalā

on

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

مِن

min

(were) from

قَبْلِنَا ۚ

qablinā

before us

رَبَّنَا

rabbanā

Our Lord

وَلَا

walā

[And] (do) not

تُحَمِّلْنَا

tuḥammil'nā

lay on us

مَا

mā

what

لَا

lā

not

طَاقَةَ

ṭāqata

(the) strength

لَنَا

lanā

we have

بِهِۦ ۖ

bihi

[of it] (to bear)

وَٱعْفُ

wa-uʿ'fu

And pardon

عَنَّا

ʿannā

[from] us

وَٱغْفِرْ

wa-igh'fir

and forgive

لَنَا

lanā

[for] us

وَٱرْحَمْنَآ ۚ

wa-ir'ḥamnā

and have mercy on us

أَنتَ

anta

You (are)

مَوْلَىٰنَا

mawlānā

our Protector

فَٱنصُرْنَا

fa-unṣur'nā

so help us

عَلَى

ʿalā

against

ٱلْقَوْمِ

l-qawmi

the people

ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ

l-kāfirīna

[the] disbelievers
