إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

رَبِّى

rabbī

(is) my Lord

وَرَبُّكُمْ

warabbukum

and your Lord

فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۗ

fa-uʿ'budūhu

so worship Him

هَـٰذَا

hādhā

This

صِرَٰطٌۭ

ṣirāṭun

(is) the path

مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ

mus'taqīmun

straight

۞ فَلَمَّآ

falammā

Then when

أَحَسَّ

aḥassa

perceived

عِيسَىٰ

ʿīsā

Isa

مِنْهُمُ

min'humu

from them

ٱلْكُفْرَ

l-kuf'ra

[the] disbelief

قَالَ

qāla

he said

مَنْ

man

Who

أَنصَارِىٓ

anṣārī

(will be) my helpers

إِلَى

ilā

to

ٱللَّهِ ۖ

l-lahi

Allah

قَالَ

qāla

Said

ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ

l-ḥawāriyūna

the disciples

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

We

أَنصَارُ

anṣāru

(will be the) helpers

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

ءَامَنَّا

āmannā

we believe[d]

بِٱللَّهِ

bil-lahi

in Allah

وَٱشْهَدْ

wa-ish'had

and bear witness

بِأَنَّا

bi-annā

that we

مُسْلِمُونَ

mus'limūna

(are) Muslims

رَبَّنَآ

rabbanā

Our Lord

ءَامَنَّا

āmannā

we believe[d]

بِمَآ

bimā

in what

أَنزَلْتَ

anzalta

You revealed

وَٱتَّبَعْنَا

wa-ittabaʿnā

and we follow[ed]

ٱلرَّسُولَ

l-rasūla

the Messenger

فَٱكْتُبْنَا

fa-uk'tub'nā

then write us

مَعَ

maʿa

among

ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ

l-shāhidīna

the witnesses

وَمَكَرُوا۟

wamakarū

And they schemed

وَمَكَرَ

wamakara

and planned

ٱللَّهُ ۖ

l-lahu

Allah

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

خَيْرُ

khayru

(is the) best

ٱلْمَـٰكِرِينَ

l-mākirīna

(of) the planners

إِذْ

idh

When

قَالَ

qāla

said

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

يَـٰعِيسَىٰٓ

yāʿīsā

O Isa

إِنِّى

innī

Indeed, I

مُتَوَفِّيكَ

mutawaffīka

(will) take you

وَرَافِعُكَ

warāfiʿuka

and raise you

إِلَىَّ

ilayya

to Myself

وَمُطَهِّرُكَ

wamuṭahhiruka

and purify you

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieve[d]

وَجَاعِلُ

wajāʿilu

and I will make

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

ٱتَّبَعُوكَ

ittabaʿūka

follow[ed] you

فَوْقَ

fawqa

superior

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

(to) those who

كَفَرُوٓا۟

kafarū

disbelieve[d]

إِلَىٰ

ilā

on

يَوْمِ

yawmi

(the) Day

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۖ

l-qiyāmati

(of) [the] Resurrection

ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

إِلَىَّ

ilayya

to Me

مَرْجِعُكُمْ

marjiʿukum

(is) your return

فَأَحْكُمُ

fa-aḥkumu

and I will judge

بَيْنَكُمْ

baynakum

between you

فِيمَا

fīmā

about what

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you were

فِيهِ

fīhi

[in it]

تَخْتَلِفُونَ

takhtalifūna

differing

فَأَمَّا

fa-ammā

Then as for

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieve[d]

فَأُعَذِّبُهُمْ

fa-uʿadhibuhum

then I will punish them

عَذَابًۭا

ʿadhāban

(with) a punishment

شَدِيدًۭا

shadīdan

severe

فِى

fī

in

ٱلدُّنْيَا

l-dun'yā

the world

وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

wal-ākhirati

and (in) the Hereafter

وَمَا

wamā

And not

لَهُم

lahum

for them

مِّن

min

any

نَّـٰصِرِينَ

nāṣirīna

helpers

وَأَمَّا

wa-ammā

And as for

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

ءَامَنُوا۟

āmanū

believe[d]

وَعَمِلُوا۟

waʿamilū

and did

ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ

l-ṣāliḥāti

[the] righteous deeds

فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ

fayuwaffīhim

then He will grant them in full

أُجُورَهُمْ ۗ

ujūrahum

their reward

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

لَا

lā

(does) not

يُحِبُّ

yuḥibbu

love

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

l-ẓālimīna

the wrongdoers

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

That

نَتْلُوهُ

natlūhu

(is what) We recite [it]

عَلَيْكَ

ʿalayka

to you

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ

l-āyāti

the Verses

وَٱلذِّكْرِ

wal-dhik'ri

and the Reminder

ٱلْحَكِيمِ

l-ḥakīmi

[the] Wise

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

مَثَلَ

mathala

(the) likeness

عِيسَىٰ

ʿīsā

(of) Isa

عِندَ

ʿinda

near

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

كَمَثَلِ

kamathali

(is) like (the) likeness

ءَادَمَ ۖ

ādama

(of) Adam

خَلَقَهُۥ

khalaqahu

He created him

مِن

min

from

تُرَابٍۢ

turābin

dust

ثُمَّ

thumma

then

قَالَ

qāla

He said

لَهُۥ

lahu

to him

كُن

kun

Be

فَيَكُونُ

fayakūnu

and he was

ٱلْحَقُّ

al-ḥaqu

The truth

مِن

min

(is) from

رَّبِّكَ

rabbika

your Lord

فَلَا

falā

so (do) not

تَكُن

takun

be

مِّنَ

mina

among

ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ

l-mum'tarīna

the doubters

فَمَنْ

faman

Then whoever

حَآجَّكَ

ḥājjaka

argues (with) you

فِيهِ

fīhi

concerning it

مِنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِ

baʿdi

after

مَا

mā

what

جَآءَكَ

jāaka

came to you

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلْعِلْمِ

l-ʿil'mi

the knowledge

فَقُلْ

faqul

then say

تَعَالَوْا۟

taʿālaw

Come

نَدْعُ

nadʿu

let us call

أَبْنَآءَنَا

abnāanā

our sons

وَأَبْنَآءَكُمْ

wa-abnāakum

and your sons

وَنِسَآءَنَا

wanisāanā

and our women

وَنِسَآءَكُمْ

wanisāakum

and your women

وَأَنفُسَنَا

wa-anfusanā

and ourselves

وَأَنفُسَكُمْ

wa-anfusakum

and yourselves

ثُمَّ

thumma

then

نَبْتَهِلْ

nabtahil

let us pray humbly

فَنَجْعَل

fanajʿal

and [we] invoke

لَّعْنَتَ

laʿnata

the curse

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

عَلَى

ʿalā

on

ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ

l-kādhibīna

the liars

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

هَـٰذَا

hādhā

this

لَهُوَ

lahuwa

surely it (is)

ٱلْقَصَصُ

l-qaṣaṣu

the narration

ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ

l-ḥaqu

[the] true

وَمَا

wamā

And (there is) no

مِنْ

min

(of)

إِلَـٰهٍ

ilāhin

god

إِلَّا

illā

except

ٱللَّهُ ۚ

l-lahu

Allah

وَإِنَّ

wa-inna

And indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

لَهُوَ

lahuwa

surely He

ٱلْعَزِيزُ

l-ʿazīzu

(is) the All-Mighty

ٱلْحَكِيمُ

l-ḥakīmu

the All-Wise

فَإِن

fa-in

And if

تَوَلَّوْا۟

tawallaw

they turn back

فَإِنَّ

fa-inna

then indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

عَلِيمٌۢ

ʿalīmun

(is) All-Knowing

بِٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

bil-muf'sidīna

of the corrupters

قُلْ

qul

Say

يَـٰٓأَهْلَ

yāahla

O People

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

(of) the Book

تَعَالَوْا۟

taʿālaw

Come

إِلَىٰ

ilā

to

كَلِمَةٍۢ

kalimatin

a word

سَوَآءٍۭ

sawāin

equitable

بَيْنَنَا

baynanā

between us

وَبَيْنَكُمْ

wabaynakum

and between you

أَلَّا

allā

that not

نَعْبُدَ

naʿbuda

we worship

إِلَّا

illā

except

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

وَلَا

walā

and not

نُشْرِكَ

nush'rika

we associate partners

بِهِۦ

bihi

with Him

شَيْـًۭٔا

shayan

anything

وَلَا

walā

and not

يَتَّخِذَ

yattakhidha

take

بَعْضُنَا

baʿḍunā

some of us

بَعْضًا

baʿḍan

(to) others

أَرْبَابًۭا

arbāban

(as) lords

مِّن

min

from

دُونِ

dūni

besides

ٱللَّهِ ۚ

l-lahi

Allah

فَإِن

fa-in

Then if

تَوَلَّوْا۟

tawallaw

they turn away

فَقُولُوا۟

faqūlū

then say

ٱشْهَدُوا۟

ish'hadū

Bear witness

بِأَنَّا

bi-annā

that we

مُسْلِمُونَ

mus'limūna

(are) Muslims

يَـٰٓأَهْلَ

yāahla

O People

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

(of) the Book

لِمَ

lima

Why

تُحَآجُّونَ

tuḥājjūna

(do) you argue

فِىٓ

fī

concerning

إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

ib'rāhīma

Ibrahim

وَمَآ

wamā

while not

أُنزِلَتِ

unzilati

was revealed

ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ

l-tawrātu

the Taurat

وَٱلْإِنجِيلُ

wal-injīlu

and the Injeel

إِلَّا

illā

except

مِنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِهِۦٓ ۚ

baʿdihi

after him

أَفَلَا

afalā

Then why don't

تَعْقِلُونَ

taʿqilūna

you use your intellect

هَـٰٓأَنتُمْ

hāantum

Here you are

هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ

hāulāi

those who

حَـٰجَجْتُمْ

ḥājajtum

argued

فِيمَا

fīmā

about what

لَكُم

lakum

[for] you

بِهِۦ

bihi

of it

عِلْمٌۭ

ʿil'mun

(have some) knowledge

فَلِمَ

falima

Then why

تُحَآجُّونَ

tuḥājjūna

(do) you argue

فِيمَا

fīmā

about what

لَيْسَ

laysa

not

لَكُم

lakum

for you

بِهِۦ

bihi

of it

عِلْمٌۭ ۚ

ʿil'mun

(any) knowledge

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

يَعْلَمُ

yaʿlamu

knows

وَأَنتُمْ

wa-antum

while you

لَا

lā

(do) not

تَعْلَمُونَ

taʿlamūna

know

مَا

mā

Not

كَانَ

kāna

was

إِبْرَٰهِيمُ

ib'rāhīmu

Ibrahim

يَهُودِيًّۭا

yahūdiyyan

a Jew

وَلَا

walā

and not

نَصْرَانِيًّۭا

naṣrāniyyan

a Christian

وَلَـٰكِن

walākin

[and] but

كَانَ

kāna

he was

حَنِيفًۭا

ḥanīfan

a true

مُّسْلِمًۭا

mus'liman

Muslim

وَمَا

wamā

and not

كَانَ

kāna

he was

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

l-mush'rikīna

the polytheists

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

أَوْلَى

awlā

the best to claim relationship

ٱلنَّاسِ

l-nāsi

(of) people

بِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ

bi-ib'rāhīma

with Ibrahim

لَلَّذِينَ

lalladhīna

(are) those who

ٱتَّبَعُوهُ

ittabaʿūhu

follow him

وَهَـٰذَا

wahādhā

and this

ٱلنَّبِىُّ

l-nabiyu

[the] Prophet

وَٱلَّذِينَ

wa-alladhīna

and those who

ءَامَنُوا۟ ۗ

āmanū

believe[d]

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

وَلِىُّ

waliyyu

(is) a Guardian

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

l-mu'minīna

(of) the believers

وَدَّت

waddat

Wished

طَّآئِفَةٌۭ

ṭāifatun

a group

مِّنْ

min

from

أَهْلِ

ahli

(the) People

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

(of) the Book

لَوْ

law

if

يُضِلُّونَكُمْ

yuḍillūnakum

they could lead you astray

وَمَا

wamā

and not

يُضِلُّونَ

yuḍillūna

they lead astray

إِلَّآ

illā

except

أَنفُسَهُمْ

anfusahum

themselves

وَمَا

wamā

and not

يَشْعُرُونَ

yashʿurūna

they perceive

يَـٰٓأَهْلَ

yāahla

O People

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

(of) the Book

لِمَ

lima

Why do

تَكْفُرُونَ

takfurūna

you deny

بِـَٔايَـٰتِ

biāyāti

[in] the Signs

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

وَأَنتُمْ

wa-antum

while you

تَشْهَدُونَ

tashhadūna

bear witness

يَـٰٓأَهْلَ

yāahla

O People

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

(of) the Book

لِمَ

lima

Why

تَلْبِسُونَ

talbisūna

do you mix

ٱلْحَقَّ

l-ḥaqa

the truth

بِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ

bil-bāṭili

with the falsehood

وَتَكْتُمُونَ

wataktumūna

and conceal

ٱلْحَقَّ

l-ḥaqa

the truth

وَأَنتُمْ

wa-antum

while you

تَعْلَمُونَ

taʿlamūna

know

وَقَالَت

waqālat

And said

طَّآئِفَةٌۭ

ṭāifatun

a group

مِّنْ

min

of

أَهْلِ

ahli

(the) People

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

(of) the Book

ءَامِنُوا۟

āminū

Believe

بِٱلَّذِىٓ

bi-alladhī

in what

أُنزِلَ

unzila

was revealed

عَلَى

ʿalā

on

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

ءَامَنُوا۟

āmanū

believe[d]

وَجْهَ

wajha

(at the) beginning

ٱلنَّهَارِ

l-nahāri

(of) the day

وَٱكْفُرُوٓا۟

wa-uk'furū

and reject

ءَاخِرَهُۥ

ākhirahu

(at) its end

لَعَلَّهُمْ

laʿallahum

perhaps they may

يَرْجِعُونَ

yarjiʿūna

return

وَلَا

walā

And (do) not

تُؤْمِنُوٓا۟

tu'minū

believe

إِلَّا

illā

except

لِمَن

liman

(the one) who

تَبِعَ

tabiʿa

follows

دِينَكُمْ

dīnakum

your religion

قُلْ

qul

Say

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلْهُدَىٰ

l-hudā

the (true) guidance

هُدَى

hudā

(is the) Guidance

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

أَن

an

lest

يُؤْتَىٰٓ

yu'tā

is given

أَحَدٌۭ

aḥadun

(to) one

مِّثْلَ

mith'la

(the) like

مَآ

mā

(of) what

أُوتِيتُمْ

ūtītum

was given to you

أَوْ

aw

or

يُحَآجُّوكُمْ

yuḥājjūkum

they may argue with you

عِندَ

ʿinda

near

رَبِّكُمْ ۗ

rabbikum

your Lord

قُلْ

qul

Say

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلْفَضْلَ

l-faḍla

the Bounty

بِيَدِ

biyadi

(is) in the Hand

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

يُؤْتِيهِ

yu'tīhi

He gives it

مَن

man

(to) whom

يَشَآءُ ۗ

yashāu

He wills

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

and Allah

وَٰسِعٌ

wāsiʿun

(is) All-Encompassing

عَلِيمٌۭ

ʿalīmun

All-Knowing

يَخْتَصُّ

yakhtaṣṣu

He chooses

بِرَحْمَتِهِۦ

biraḥmatihi

for His Mercy

مَن

man

whom

يَشَآءُ ۗ

yashāu

He wills

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

ذُو

dhū

(is) the Possessor

ٱلْفَضْلِ

l-faḍli

(of) Bounty

ٱلْعَظِيمِ

l-ʿaẓīmi

[the] great

۞ وَمِنْ

wamin

And from

أَهْلِ

ahli

(the) People

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

(of) the Book

مَنْ

man

(is he) who

إِن

in

if

تَأْمَنْهُ

tamanhu

you entrust him

بِقِنطَارٍۢ

biqinṭārin

with a great amount of wealth

يُؤَدِّهِۦٓ

yu-addihi

he will return it

إِلَيْكَ

ilayka

to you

وَمِنْهُم

wamin'hum

And from them

مَّنْ

man

(is he) who

إِن

in

if

تَأْمَنْهُ

tamanhu

you entrust him

بِدِينَارٍۢ

bidīnārin

with a single coin

لَّا

lā

not

يُؤَدِّهِۦٓ

yu-addihi

he will return it

إِلَيْكَ

ilayka

to you

إِلَّا

illā

except

مَا

mā

that

دُمْتَ

dum'ta

you keep constantly

عَلَيْهِ

ʿalayhi

over him

قَآئِمًۭا ۗ

qāiman

standing

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

That

بِأَنَّهُمْ

bi-annahum

(is) because they

قَالُوا۟

qālū

said

لَيْسَ

laysa

Not

عَلَيْنَا

ʿalaynā

on us

فِى

fī

concerning

ٱلْأُمِّيِّـۧنَ

l-umiyīna

the unlettered people

سَبِيلٌۭ

sabīlun

any [way] (accountability)

وَيَقُولُونَ

wayaqūlūna

And they say

عَلَى

ʿalā

about

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

ٱلْكَذِبَ

l-kadhiba

the lie

وَهُمْ

wahum

while they

يَعْلَمُونَ

yaʿlamūna

know
