وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مُوسَىٰٓ‌ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مُخْلَصًا وَكَانَ رَسُولاً نَّبِيًّا ﴿٥١﴾

وَٱذْكُرْ

And mention

فِى

in

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

the Book

مُوسَىٰٓ ۚ

mūsā

Musa

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed, he

كَانَ

kāna

was

مُخْلَصًۭا

mukh'laṣan

chosen

وَكَانَ

wakāna

and was

رَسُولًۭا

rasūlan

a Messenger

نَّبِيًّۭا

nabiyyan

a Prophet

52

وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلْأَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنَـٰهُ نَجِيًّا ﴿٥٢﴾

Word-by-word

وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ

wanādaynāhu

And We called him

مِن

min

from

جَانِبِ

jānibi

(the) side

ٱلطُّورِ

l-ṭūri

(of) the Mount

ٱلْأَيْمَنِ

l-aymani

the right

وَقَرَّبْنَـٰهُ

waqarrabnāhu

and brought him near

نَجِيًّۭا

najiyyan

(for) conversation

53

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ مِن رَّحْمَتِنَآ أَخَاهُ هَـٰرُونَ نَبِيًّا ﴿٥٣﴾

And We bestowed

54

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ إِسْمَـٰعِيلَ‌ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صَادِقَ ٱلْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولاً نَّبِيًّا ﴿٥٤﴾

And mention

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

إِسْمَـٰعِيلَ ۚ

is'māʿīla

Ishmael

إِنَّهُۥ

صَادِقَ

ṣādiqa

true

ٱلْوَعْدِ

l-waʿdi

(to his) promise

وَكَانَ

wakāna

and was

رَسُولًۭا

rasūlan

a Messenger

نَّبِيًّۭا

nabiyyan

a Prophet

55

وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُۥ بِٱلصَّلَوٲةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٲةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ مَرْضِيًّا ﴿٥٥﴾

And he used

يَأْمُرُ

(to) enjoin

أَهْلَهُۥ

ahlahu

(on) his people

بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ

bil-ṣalati

the prayer

وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ

and zakah

وَكَانَ

wakāna

and was

عِندَ

ʿinda

near

رَبِّهِۦ

rabbihi

his Lord

مَرْضِيًّۭا

marḍiyyan

pleasing

56

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ إِدْرِيسَ‌ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا ﴿٥٦﴾

57

وَرَفَعْنَـٰهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا ﴿٥٧﴾

وَرَفَعْنَـٰهُ

warafaʿnāhu

And We raised him

مَكَانًا

makānan

(to) a position

عَلِيًّا

ʿaliyyan

high

58

أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّــۧنَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ ءَادَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَٲهِيمَ وَإِسْرَٲٓءِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَٱجْتَبَيْنَآ‌ۚ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ خَرُّواْ سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا ۩ ﴿٥٨﴾

Those

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

(were) the ones whom

أَنْعَمَ

Allah bestowed favor

ٱللَّهُ

Allah bestowed favor

upon them

مِّنَ

mina

from (among)

ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ

l-nabiyīna

the Prophets

مِن

min

of

ذُرِّيَّةِ

dhurriyyati

(the) offspring

ءَادَمَ

ādama

(of) Adam

وَمِمَّنْ

wamimman

and of those

حَمَلْنَا

ḥamalnā

We carried

مَعَ

maʿa

with

نُوحٍۢ

nūḥin

Nuh

وَمِن

wamin

and of

ذُرِّيَّةِ

dhurriyyati

(the) offspring

إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

ib'rāhīma

(of) Ibrahim

وَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

wa-is'rāīla

and Israel

وَمِمَّنْ

wamimman

and of (those) whom

هَدَيْنَا

hadaynā

We guided

وَٱجْتَبَيْنَآ ۚ

wa-ij'tabaynā

and We chose

إِذَا

idhā

When

تُتْلَىٰ

tut'lā

were recited

عَلَيْهِمْ

ʿalayhim

to them

ءَايَـٰتُ

āyātu

(the) Verses

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ

l-raḥmāni

(of) the Most Gracious

خَرُّوا۟

kharrū

they fell

سُجَّدًۭا

sujjadan

prostrating

وَبُكِيًّۭا ۩

wabukiyyan

and weeping

59

۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٲةَ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلشَّهَوَٲتِ‌ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا ﴿٥٩﴾

Then succeeded

أَضَاعُوا۟

وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟

wa-ittabaʿū

and they followed

ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ ۖ

l-shahawāti

the lusts

فَسَوْفَ

fasawfa

so soon

يَلْقَوْنَ

yalqawna

they will meet

غَيًّا

ghayyan

evil

60

إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْــًٔا ﴿٦٠﴾

repented

وَءَامَنَ

and believed

وَعَمِلَ

waʿamila

and did

صَـٰلِحًۭا

ṣāliḥan

فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

fa-ulāika

Then those

يَدْخُلُونَ

yadkhulūna

will enter

ٱلْجَنَّةَ

l-janata

Paradise

وَلَا

walā

and not

يُظْلَمُونَ

yuẓ'lamūna

they will be wronged

شَيْـًۭٔا

shayan

(in) anything

61

جَنَّـٰتِ عَدْنٍ ٱلَّتِى وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ عِبَادَهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ‌ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ وَعْدُهُۥ مَأْتِيًّا ﴿٦١﴾

Gardens

عَدْنٍ

ʿadnin

(of) Eden

ٱلَّتِى

allatī

وَعَدَ

waʿada

promised

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ

عِبَادَهُۥ

ʿibādahu

(to) His slaves

بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ

bil-ghaybi

in the unseen

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed, [it]

كَانَ

kāna

is

وَعْدُهُۥ

waʿduhu

His promise

مَأْتِيًّۭا

matiyyan

sure to come

62

لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا إِلَّا سَلَـٰمًا‌ۖ وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيهَا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا ﴿٦٢﴾

يَسْمَعُونَ

yasmaʿūna

they will hear

فِيهَا

لَغْوًا

laghwan

vain talk

إِلَّا

سَلَـٰمًۭا ۖ

رِزْقُهُمْ

بُكْرَةًۭ

وَعَشِيًّۭا

waʿashiyyan

and evening

63

تِلْكَ ٱلْجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِى نُورِثُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيًّا ﴿٦٣﴾

This

ٱلْجَنَّةُ

l-janatu

(is) Paradise

ٱلَّتِى

allatī

We give (as) inheritance

عِبَادِنَا

Our slaves

مَن

man

(the one) who

كَانَ

تَقِيًّۭا

taqiyyan

righteous

64

وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ‌ۖ لَهُۥ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَيْنَ ذَٲلِكَ‌ۚ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّا ﴿٦٤﴾

وَمَا

wamā

And not

نَتَنَزَّلُ

natanazzalu

we descend

إِلَّا

illā

except

بِأَمْرِ

bi-amri

by (the) Command

رَبِّكَ ۖ

rabbika

(of) your Lord

لَهُۥ

To Him (belongs)

مَا

بَيْنَ

bayna

(is) before us

أَيْدِينَا

aydīnā

(is) before us

وَمَا

wamā

and what

خَلْفَنَا

khalfanā

(is) behind us

وَمَا

wamā

and what

بَيْنَ

bayna

(is) between

ذَٰلِكَ ۚ

dhālika

that

وَمَا

wamā

And not

كَانَ

kāna

is

رَبُّكَ

rabbuka

your Lord

نَسِيًّۭا

nasiyyan

forgetful

65

رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَٱعْبُدْهُ وَٱصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَـٰدَتِهِۦ‌ۚ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُۥ سَمِيًّا ﴿٦٥﴾

رَّبُّ

rabbu

Lord

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

l-samāwāti

(of) the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضِ

wal-arḍi

and the earth

وَمَا

wamā

and whatever

بَيْنَهُمَا

baynahumā

(is) between both of them

فَٱعْبُدْهُ

fa-uʿ'bud'hu

so worship Him

وَٱصْطَبِرْ

wa-iṣ'ṭabir

and be constant

لِعِبَـٰدَتِهِۦ ۚ

liʿibādatihi

in His worship

هَلْ

hal

Do

تَعْلَمُ

taʿlamu

you know

لَهُۥ

lahu

for Him

سَمِيًّۭا

samiyyan

any similarity

66

وَيَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَءِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّا ﴿٦٦﴾

وَيَقُولُ

wayaqūlu

And says

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ

l-insānu

[the] man

أَءِذَا

a-idhā

What! When

مَا

What! When

مِتُّ

mittu

I am dead

لَسَوْفَ

lasawfa

surely will

أُخْرَجُ

ukh'raju

I be brought forth

حَيًّا

ḥayyan

alive

67

أَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْــًٔا ﴿٦٧﴾

Does not

يَذْكُرُ

remember

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ

[the] man

أَنَّا

that We

خَلَقْنَـٰهُ

We created him

وَلَمْ

شَيْـًۭٔا

68

فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ وَٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّا ﴿٦٨﴾

Word-by-word

فَوَرَبِّكَ

fawarabbika

So by your Lord

لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ

lanaḥshurannahum

surely, We will gather them

وَٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ

wal-shayāṭīna

and the devils

ثُمَّ

thumma

then

لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ

lanuḥ'ḍirannahum

surely, We will bring them

حَوْلَ

ḥawla

around

جَهَنَّمَ

jahannama

Hell

جِثِيًّۭا

jithiyyan

bent (on) knees

69

ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمْ أَشَدُّ عَلَى ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عِتِيًّا ﴿٦٩﴾

Then

لَنَنزِعَنَّ

surely, We will drag out

كُلِّ

شِيعَةٍ

أَيُّهُمْ

(who were) worst

عَلَى

ʿalā

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ

the Most Gracious

عِتِيًّۭا

ʿitiyyan

(in) rebellion

70

ثُمَّ لَنَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِيًّا ﴿٧٠﴾

Then

لَنَحْنُ

lanaḥnu

surely, We

أَعْلَمُ

aʿlamu

know best

بِٱلَّذِينَ

bi-alladhīna

[of] those who

هُمْ

hum

[they]

أَوْلَىٰ

(are) most worthy

بِهَا

bihā

therein

صِلِيًّۭا

ṣiliyyan

(of) being burnt

71

وَإِن مِّنكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا‌ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَّقْضِيًّا ﴿٧١﴾

وَإِن

wa-in

And (there is) not

مِّنكُمْ

minkum

(any) of you

إِلَّا

illā

but

وَارِدُهَا ۚ

wāriduhā

(will be) passing over it

كَانَ

kāna

(This) is

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

upon

رَبِّكَ

rabbika

your Lord

حَتْمًۭا

ḥatman

an inevitability

مَّقْضِيًّۭا

maqḍiyyan

decreed

72

ثُمَّ نُنَجِّى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَواْ وَّنَذَرُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا ﴿٧٢﴾

Word-by-word

ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

نُنَجِّى

nunajjī

We will deliver

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

ٱتَّقَوا۟

ittaqaw

feared (Allah)

وَّنَذَرُ

wanadharu

and We will leave

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

l-ẓālimīna

the wrongdoers

فِيهَا

fīhā

therein

جِثِيًّۭا

jithiyyan

bent (on) knees

73

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌ مَّقَامًا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّا ﴿٧٣﴾

And when

تُتْلَىٰ

tut'lā

are recited

عَلَيْهِمْ

ʿalayhim

to them

ءَايَـٰتُنَا

āyātunā

Our Verses

بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ

bayyinātin

clear

قَالَ

qāla

say

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieved

لِلَّذِينَ

lilladhīna

to those who

ءَامَنُوٓا۟

āmanū

believed

أَىُّ

ayyu

Which

ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ

l-farīqayni

(of) the two groups

خَيْرٌۭ

khayrun

(is) better

مَّقَامًۭا

maqāman

(in) position

وَأَحْسَنُ

wa-aḥsanu

and best

نَدِيًّۭا

nadiyyan

(in) assembly

74

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَـٰثًا وَرِءْيًا ﴿٧٤﴾

وَكَمْ

wakam

And how many

أَهْلَكْنَا

ahlaknā

We destroyed

قَبْلَهُم

qablahum

before them

مِّن

min

of

قَرْنٍ

qarnin

a generation

هُمْ

hum

they

أَحْسَنُ

aḥsanu

(were) better

أَثَـٰثًۭا

athāthan

(in) possessions

وَرِءْيًۭا

wari'yan

and appearance

75

قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ مَدًّا‌ۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوْاْ مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا ٱلْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًا ﴿٧٥﴾

Whoever

فِى

ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةِ

l-ḍalālati

[the] error

فَلْيَمْدُدْ

falyamdud

then surely will extend

لَهُ

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ

l-raḥmānu

the Most Gracious

مَدًّا ۚ

maddan

an extension

حَتَّىٰٓ

ḥattā

until

إِذَا

idhā

when

رَأَوْا۟

ra-aw

they see

مَا

what

يُوعَدُونَ

yūʿadūna

they were promised

إِمَّا

immā

either

ٱلْعَذَابَ

l-ʿadhāba

the punishment

وَإِمَّا

wa-immā

or

ٱلسَّاعَةَ

l-sāʿata

the Hour

فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ

fasayaʿlamūna

then they will know

مَنْ

man

who

هُوَ

huwa

[he]

شَرٌّۭ

sharrun

(is) worst

مَّكَانًۭا

makānan

(in) position

وَأَضْعَفُ

wa-aḍʿafu

and weaker

جُندًۭا

jundan

(in) forces
