يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ سُنَنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَيَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ﴿٢٦﴾
Mot à mot
يُرِيدُ
yurīdu
Wishes
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
لِيُبَيِّنَ
liyubayyina
to make clear
لَكُمْ
lakum
to you
وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ
wayahdiyakum
and to guide you
سُنَنَ
sunana
(to) ways
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(of) those
مِن
min
from
قَبْلِكُمْ
qablikum
before you
وَيَتُوبَ
wayatūba
and (to) accept repentance
عَلَيْكُمْ ۗ
ʿalaykum
from you
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
عَلِيمٌ
ʿalīmun
(is) All-Knowing
حَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmun
All-Wise
وَٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلشَّهَوَٲتِ أَن تَمِيلُواْ مَيْلاً عَظِيمًا ﴿٢٧﴾
Mot à mot
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
يُرِيدُ
yurīdu
wishes
أَن
an
to
يَتُوبَ
yatūba
accept repentance
عَلَيْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
from you
وَيُرِيدُ
wayurīdu
but wish
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
يَتَّبِعُونَ
yattabiʿūna
follow
ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ
l-shahawāti
the passions
أَن
an
that
تَمِيلُوا۟
tamīlū
you deviate
مَيْلًا
maylan
(into) a deviation
عَظِيمًۭا
ʿaẓīman
great
يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنكُمْۚ وَخُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ ضَعِيفًا ﴿٢٨﴾

يُرِيدُ

Wishes
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
أَن
an
to
يُخَفِّفَ
yukhaffifa
lighten
عَنكُمْ ۚ
ʿankum
for you
وَخُلِقَ
wakhuliqa
and was created
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
l-insānu
the mankind
ضَعِيفًۭا
ḍaʿīfan
weak
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَأْكُلُوٓاْ أَمْوَٲلَكُم بَيْنَكُم بِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ تِجَـٰرَةً عَن تَرَاضٍ مِّنكُمْۚ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمْۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا ﴿٢٩﴾

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believe[d]
لَا
lā
(Do) not
تَأْكُلُوٓا۟
takulū
eat
أَمْوَٰلَكُم
amwālakum
your wealth
بَيْنَكُم
baynakum
between yourselves
بِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ
bil-bāṭili
unjustly
إِلَّآ
illā
But
أَن
an
that
تَكُونَ
takūna
(there) be
تِجَـٰرَةً
tijāratan
business
عَن
ʿan
on
تَرَاضٍۢ
tarāḍin
mutual consent
مِّنكُمْ ۚ
minkum
among you
وَلَا
walā
And (do) not
تَقْتُلُوٓا۟
taqtulū
kill
أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ
anfusakum
yourselves
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
كَانَ
kāna
is
بِكُمْ
bikum
to you
رَحِيمًۭا
raḥīman
Most Merciful
وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٲلِكَ عُدْوَٲنًا وَظُلْمًا فَسَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِ نَارًاۚ وَكَانَ ذَٲلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرًا ﴿٣٠﴾
Mot à mot
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَفْعَلْ
yafʿal
does
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
عُدْوَٰنًۭا
ʿud'wānan
(in) aggression
وَظُلْمًۭا
waẓul'man
and injustice
فَسَوْفَ
fasawfa
then soon
نُصْلِيهِ
nuṣ'līhi
We (will) cast him
نَارًۭا ۚ
nāran
(into) a Fire
وَكَانَ
wakāna
And is
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
عَلَى
ʿalā
for
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
يَسِيرًا
yasīran
easy
إِن تَجْتَنِبُواْ كَبَآئِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔـاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُم مُّدْخَلاً كَرِيمًا ﴿٣١﴾
Mot à mot
إِن
in
If
تَجْتَنِبُوا۟
tajtanibū
you avoid
كَبَآئِرَ
kabāira
great (sins)
مَا
mā
(of) what
تُنْهَوْنَ
tun'hawna
you are forbidden
عَنْهُ
ʿanhu
from [it]
نُكَفِّرْ
nukaffir
We will remove
عَنكُمْ
ʿankum
from you
سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ
sayyiātikum
your evil deeds
وَنُدْخِلْكُم
wanud'khil'kum
and We will admit you
مُّدْخَلًۭا
mud'khalan
(to) an entrance
كَرِيمًۭا
karīman
noble
وَلَا تَتَمَنَّوْاْ مَا فَضَّلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۚ لِّلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا ٱكْتَسَبُواْۖ وَلِلنِّسَآءِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا ٱكْتَسَبْنَۚ وَسْــَٔلُواْ ٱللَّهَ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمًا ﴿٣٢﴾

وَلَا
walā
And (do) not
تَتَمَنَّوْا۟
tatamannaw
covet
مَا
mā
what
فَضَّلَ
faḍḍala
(has) bestowed
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
بِهِۦ
bihi
[with it]
بَعْضَكُمْ
baʿḍakum
some of you
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
over
بَعْضٍۢ ۚ
baʿḍin
others
لِّلرِّجَالِ
lilrrijāli
For men
نَصِيبٌۭ
naṣībun
(is) a share
مِّمَّا
mimmā
of what
ٱكْتَسَبُوا۟ ۖ
ik'tasabū
they earned
وَلِلنِّسَآءِ
walilnnisāi
and for women
نَصِيبٌۭ
naṣībun
(is) a share
مِّمَّا
mimmā
of what
ٱكْتَسَبْنَ ۚ
ik'tasabna
they earned
وَسْـَٔلُوا۟
wasalū
And ask
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
مِن
min
of
فَضْلِهِۦٓ ۗ
faḍlihi
His bounty
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
كَانَ
kāna
is
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
of every
شَىْءٍ
shayin
thing
عَلِيمًۭا
ʿalīman
All-Knower
وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَٲلِىَ مِمَّا تَرَكَ ٱلْوَٲلِدَانِ وَٱلْأَقْرَبُونَۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ عَقَدَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُكُمْ فَـَٔـاتُوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدًا ﴿٣٣﴾
Mot à mot
وَلِكُلٍّۢ
walikullin
And for all
جَعَلْنَا
jaʿalnā
We (have) made
مَوَٰلِىَ
mawāliya
heirs
مِمَّا
mimmā
of what
تَرَكَ
taraka
(is) left
ٱلْوَٰلِدَانِ
l-wālidāni
(by) the parents
وَٱلْأَقْرَبُونَ ۚ
wal-aqrabūna
and the relatives
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those whom
عَقَدَتْ
ʿaqadat
pledged
أَيْمَـٰنُكُمْ
aymānukum
your right hands
فَـَٔاتُوهُمْ
faātūhum
then give them
نَصِيبَهُمْ ۚ
naṣībahum
their share
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
كَانَ
kāna
is
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
over
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَىْءٍۢ
shayin
thing
شَهِيدًا
shahīdan
a Witness
ٱلرِّجَالُ قَوَّٲمُونَ عَلَى ٱلنِّسَآءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ ٱللَّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ وَبِمَآ أَنفَقُواْ مِنْ أَمْوَٲلِهِمْۚ فَٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُ قَـٰنِتَـٰتٌ حَـٰفِظَـٰتٌ لِّلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ ٱللَّهُۚ وَٱلَّـٰتِى تَخَافُونَ نُشُوزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوهُنَّ وَٱهْجُرُوهُنَّ فِى ٱلْمَضَاجِعِ وَٱضْرِبُوهُنَّۖ فَإِنْ أَطَعْنَكُمْ فَلَا تَبْغُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ سَبِيلاًۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيًّا كَبِيرًا ﴿٣٤﴾

ٱلرِّجَالُ
al-rijālu
[The] men
قَوَّٰمُونَ
qawwāmūna
(are) protectors
عَلَى
ʿalā
of
ٱلنِّسَآءِ
l-nisāi
the women
بِمَا
bimā
because
فَضَّلَ
faḍḍala
(has) bestowed
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
بَعْضَهُمْ
baʿḍahum
some of them
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
over
بَعْضٍۢ
baʿḍin
others
وَبِمَآ
wabimā
and because
أَنفَقُوا۟
anfaqū
they spend
مِنْ
min
from
أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ ۚ
amwālihim
their wealth
فَٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُ
fal-ṣāliḥātu
So the righteous women
قَـٰنِتَـٰتٌ
qānitātun
(are) obedient
حَـٰفِظَـٰتٌۭ
ḥāfiẓātun
guarding
لِّلْغَيْبِ
lil'ghaybi
in the unseen
بِمَا
bimā
that which
حَفِظَ
ḥafiẓa
(orders) them to guard
ٱللَّهُ ۚ
l-lahu
(by) Allah
وَٱلَّـٰتِى
wa-allātī
And those (from) whom
تَخَافُونَ
takhāfūna
you fear
نُشُوزَهُنَّ
nushūzahunna
their ill-conduct
فَعِظُوهُنَّ
faʿiẓūhunna
then advise them
وَٱهْجُرُوهُنَّ
wa-uh'jurūhunna
and forsake them
فِى
fī
in
ٱلْمَضَاجِعِ
l-maḍājiʿi
the bed
وَٱضْرِبُوهُنَّ ۖ
wa-iḍ'ribūhunna
and [finally] strike them
فَإِنْ
fa-in
Then if
أَطَعْنَكُمْ
aṭaʿnakum
they obey you
فَلَا
falā
then (do) not
تَبْغُوا۟
tabghū
seek
عَلَيْهِنَّ
ʿalayhinna
against them
سَبِيلًا ۗ
sabīlan
a way
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
كَانَ
kāna
is
عَلِيًّۭا
ʿaliyyan
Most High
كَبِيرًۭا
kabīran
Most Great
وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقَ بَيْنِهِمَا فَٱبْعَثُواْ حَكَمًا مِّنْ أَهْلِهِۦ وَحَكَمًا مِّنْ أَهْلِهَآ إِن يُرِيدَآ إِصْلَـٰحًا يُوَفِّقِ ٱللَّهُ بَيْنَهُمَآۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا خَبِيرًا ﴿٣٥﴾
Mot à mot
وَإِنْ
wa-in
And if
خِفْتُمْ
khif'tum
you fear
شِقَاقَ
shiqāqa
a dissension
بَيْنِهِمَا
baynihimā
between (the) two of them
فَٱبْعَثُوا۟
fa-ib'ʿathū
then send
حَكَمًۭا
ḥakaman
an arbitrator
مِّنْ
min
from
أَهْلِهِۦ
ahlihi
his family
وَحَكَمًۭا
waḥakaman
and an arbitrator
مِّنْ
min
from
أَهْلِهَآ
ahlihā
her family
إِن
in
If
يُرِيدَآ
yurīdā
they both wish
إِصْلَـٰحًۭا
iṣ'lāḥan
reconciliation
يُوَفِّقِ
yuwaffiqi
will cause reconciliation
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
بَيْنَهُمَآ ۗ
baynahumā
between both of them
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
كَانَ
kāna
is
عَلِيمًا
ʿalīman
All-Knower
خَبِيرًۭا
khabīran
All-Aware
۞ وَٱعْبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُواْ بِهِۦ شَيْــًٔاۖ وَبِٱلْوَٲلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَـٰنًا وَبِذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِ وَٱلْجَارِ ذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْجَارِ ٱلْجُنُبِ وَٱلصَّاحِبِ بِٱلْجَنۢبِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُكُمْۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالاً فَخُورًا ﴿٣٦﴾
Mot à mot
۞ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟
wa-uʿ'budū
And worship
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
وَلَا
walā
And (do) not
تُشْرِكُوا۟
tush'rikū
associate
بِهِۦ
bihi
with Him
شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ
shayan
anything
وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ
wabil-wālidayni
and to the parents
إِحْسَـٰنًۭا
iḥ'sānan
(do) good
وَبِذِى
wabidhī
and with
ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ
l-qur'bā
the relatives
وَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ
wal-yatāmā
and the orphans
وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِ
wal-masākīni
and the needy
وَٱلْجَارِ
wal-jāri
and the neighbor
ذِى
dhī
(who is)
ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ
l-qur'bā
near
وَٱلْجَارِ
wal-jāri
and the neighbor
ٱلْجُنُبِ
l-junubi
(who is) farther away
وَٱلصَّاحِبِ
wal-ṣāḥibi
and the companion
بِٱلْجَنۢبِ
bil-janbi
by your side
وَٱبْنِ
wa-ib'ni
and the
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
l-sabīli
traveler
وَمَا
wamā
and what
مَلَكَتْ
malakat
possess[ed]
أَيْمَـٰنُكُمْ ۗ
aymānukum
your right hands
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
لَا
lā
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbu
love
مَن
man
(the one) who
كَانَ
kāna
is
مُخْتَالًۭا
mukh'tālan
[a] proud
فَخُورًا
fakhūran
(and) [a] boastful
ٱلَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلْبُخْلِ وَيَكْتُمُونَ مَآ ءَاتَـٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦۗ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُّهِينًا ﴿٣٧﴾
Mot à mot
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
Those who
يَبْخَلُونَ
yabkhalūna
are stingy
وَيَأْمُرُونَ
wayamurūna
and order
ٱلنَّاسَ
l-nāsa
the people
بِٱلْبُخْلِ
bil-bukh'li
[of] stinginess
وَيَكْتُمُونَ
wayaktumūna
and hide
مَآ
mā
what
ءَاتَىٰهُمُ
ātāhumu
(has) given them
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
مِن
min
of
فَضْلِهِۦ ۗ
faḍlihi
His Bounty
وَأَعْتَدْنَا
wa-aʿtadnā
and We (have) prepared
لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
lil'kāfirīna
for the disbelievers
عَذَابًۭا
ʿadhāban
a punishment
مُّهِينًۭا
muhīnan
humiliating
وَٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٲلَهُمْ رِئَآءَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَلَا بِٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِۗ وَمَن يَكُنِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ لَهُۥ قَرِينًا فَسَآءَ قَرِينًا ﴿٣٨﴾

وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
يُنفِقُونَ
yunfiqūna
spend
أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ
amwālahum
their wealth
رِئَآءَ
riāa
to be seen
ٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsi
(by) the people
وَلَا
walā
and not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūna
they believe
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَلَا
walā
and not
بِٱلْيَوْمِ
bil-yawmi
in the Day
ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ ۗ
l-ākhiri
the Last
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
يَكُنِ
yakuni
has
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ
l-shayṭānu
the Shaitaan
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
قَرِينًۭا
qarīnan
(as) companion
فَسَآءَ
fasāa
then evil
قَرِينًۭا
qarīnan
(is he as) a companion
وَمَاذَا عَلَيْهِمْ لَوْ ءَامَنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ وَأَنفَقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِمْ عَلِيمًا ﴿٣٩﴾

وَمَاذَا
wamādhā
And what
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
(is) against them
لَوْ
law
if
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
they believed
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَٱلْيَوْمِ
wal-yawmi
and the Day
ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ
l-ākhiri
the Last
وَأَنفَقُوا۟
wa-anfaqū
and spent
مِمَّا
mimmā
from what
رَزَقَهُمُ
razaqahumu
(has) provided them
ٱللَّهُ ۚ
l-lahu
Allah
وَكَانَ
wakāna
And is
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
بِهِمْ
bihim
about them
عَلِيمًا
ʿalīman
All-Knower
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍۖ وَإِن تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَـٰعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِن لَّدُنْهُ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا ﴿٤٠﴾
Mot à mot
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
لَا
lā
(does) not
يَظْلِمُ
yaẓlimu
wrong
مِثْقَالَ
mith'qāla
(as much as) weight
ذَرَّةٍۢ ۖ
dharratin
(of) an atom
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
تَكُ
taku
there is
حَسَنَةًۭ
ḥasanatan
a good
يُضَـٰعِفْهَا
yuḍāʿif'hā
He doubles it
وَيُؤْتِ
wayu'ti
and gives
مِن
min
from
لَّدُنْهُ
ladun'hu
near Him
أَجْرًا
ajran
a reward
عَظِيمًۭا
ʿaẓīman
great
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةِۭ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شَهِيدًا ﴿٤١﴾

فَكَيْفَ
fakayfa
So how (will it be)
إِذَا
idhā
when
جِئْنَا
ji'nā
We bring
مِن
min
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
أُمَّةٍۭ
ummatin
nation
بِشَهِيدٍۢ
bishahīdin
a witness
وَجِئْنَا
waji'nā
and We bring
بِكَ
bika
you
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
against
هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ
hāulāi
these (people)
شَهِيدًۭا
shahīdan
(as) a witness
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَعَصَوُاْ ٱلرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّىٰ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُونَ ٱللَّهَ حَدِيثًا ﴿٤٢﴾
Mot à mot
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ
yawma-idhin
(On) that Day
يَوَدُّ
yawaddu
will wish
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieved
وَعَصَوُا۟
waʿaṣawū
and disobeyed
ٱلرَّسُولَ
l-rasūla
the Messenger
لَوْ
law
if
تُسَوَّىٰ
tusawwā
was leveled
بِهِمُ
bihimu
with them
ٱلْأَرْضُ
l-arḍu
the earth
وَلَا
walā
and not
يَكْتُمُونَ
yaktumūna
they will (be able to) hide
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
(from) Allah
حَدِيثًۭا
ḥadīthan
(any) statement
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَقْرَبُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٲةَ وَأَنتُمْ سُكَـٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَعْلَمُواْ مَا تَقُولُونَ وَلَا جُنُبًا إِلَّا عَابِرِى سَبِيلٍ حَتَّىٰ تَغْتَسِلُواْۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنكُم مِّنَ ٱلْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَـٰمَسْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُواْ مَآءً فَتَيَمَّمُواْ صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَٱمْسَحُواْ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا ﴿٤٣﴾

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believe[d]
لَا
lā
(Do) not
تَقْرَبُوا۟
taqrabū
go near
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
l-ṣalata
the prayer
وَأَنتُمْ
wa-antum
while you
سُكَـٰرَىٰ
sukārā
(are) intoxicated
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattā
until
تَعْلَمُوا۟
taʿlamū
you know
مَا
mā
what
تَقُولُونَ
taqūlūna
you are saying
وَلَا
walā
and not
جُنُبًا
junuban
(when you are) impure
إِلَّا
illā
except
عَابِرِى
ʿābirī
(when) passing
سَبِيلٍ
sabīlin
(through) a way
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattā
until
تَغْتَسِلُوا۟ ۚ
taghtasilū
you have bathed
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
كُنتُم
kuntum
you are
مَّرْضَىٰٓ
marḍā
ill
أَوْ
aw
or
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
on
سَفَرٍ
safarin
a journey
أَوْ
aw
or
جَآءَ
jāa
came
أَحَدٌۭ
aḥadun
one
مِّنكُم
minkum
of you
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلْغَآئِطِ
l-ghāiṭi
the toilet
أَوْ
aw
or
لَـٰمَسْتُمُ
lāmastumu
you have touched
ٱلنِّسَآءَ
l-nisāa
the women
فَلَمْ
falam
and not
تَجِدُوا۟
tajidū
you find
مَآءًۭ
māan
water
فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟
fatayammamū
then do tayammum
صَعِيدًۭا
ṣaʿīdan
(with) earth
طَيِّبًۭا
ṭayyiban
clean
فَٱمْسَحُوا۟
fa-im'saḥū
and wipe (with it)
بِوُجُوهِكُمْ
biwujūhikum
your faces
وَأَيْدِيكُمْ ۗ
wa-aydīkum
and your hands
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
كَانَ
kāna
is
عَفُوًّا
ʿafuwwan
Oft-Pardoning
غَفُورًا
ghafūran
Oft-Forgiving
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ نَصِيبًا مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ يَشْتَرُونَ ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةَ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن تَضِلُّواْ ٱلسَّبِيلَ ﴿٤٤﴾

أَلَمْ
alam
Did not
تَرَ
tara
you see
إِلَى
ilā
[towards]
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
أُوتُوا۟
ūtū
were given
نَصِيبًۭا
naṣīban
a portion
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ
l-kitābi
the Book
يَشْتَرُونَ
yashtarūna
purchasing
ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةَ
l-ḍalālata
[the] error
وَيُرِيدُونَ
wayurīdūna
and wishing
أَن
an
that
تَضِلُّوا۟
taḍillū
you stray
ٱلسَّبِيلَ
l-sabīla
(from) the way
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِأَعْدَآئِكُمْۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ نَصِيرًا ﴿٤٥﴾
Mot à mot
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
أَعْلَمُ
aʿlamu
knows better
بِأَعْدَآئِكُمْ ۚ
bi-aʿdāikum
about your enemies
وَكَفَىٰ
wakafā
and (is) sufficient
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
Allah
وَلِيًّۭا
waliyyan
(as) a Protector
وَكَفَىٰ
wakafā
and sufficient
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
(is) Allah
نَصِيرًۭا
naṣīran
(as) a Helper
مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ وَيَقُولُونَ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَٱسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٍ وَرَٲعِنَا لَيَّۢا بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ وَطَعْنًا فِى ٱلدِّينِۚ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُواْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَٱسْمَعْ وَٱنظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَأَقْوَمَ وَلَـٰكِن لَّعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلاً ﴿٤٦﴾

ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
هَادُوا۟
hādū
are Jews
يُحَرِّفُونَ
yuḥarrifūna
they distort
ٱلْكَلِمَ
l-kalima
the words
عَن
ʿan
from
مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ
mawāḍiʿihi
their places
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaqūlūna
and they say
سَمِعْنَا
samiʿ'nā
We hear[d]
وَعَصَيْنَا
waʿaṣaynā
and we disobey[ed]
وَٱسْمَعْ
wa-is'maʿ
and "Hear
غَيْرَ
ghayra
not
مُسْمَعٍۢ
mus'maʿin
to be heard
وَرَٰعِنَا
warāʿinā
and "Raina
لَيًّۢا
layyan
twisting
بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ
bi-alsinatihim
[with] their tongues
وَطَعْنًۭا
waṭaʿnan
and defaming
فِى
fī
[in]
ٱلدِّينِ ۚ
l-dīni
the religion
وَلَوْ
walaw
And if
أَنَّهُمْ
annahum
[that] they
قَالُوا۟
qālū
(had) said
سَمِعْنَا
samiʿ'nā
We hear[d]
وَأَطَعْنَا
wa-aṭaʿnā
and we obey[ed]
وَٱسْمَعْ
wa-is'maʿ
and "Hear
وَٱنظُرْنَا
wa-unẓur'nā
and look (at) us
لَكَانَ
lakāna
surely it (would) have been
خَيْرًۭا
khayran
better
لَّهُمْ
lahum
for them
وَأَقْوَمَ
wa-aqwama
and more suitable
وَلَـٰكِن
walākin
[And] but
لَّعَنَهُمُ
laʿanahumu
cursed them
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
بِكُفْرِهِمْ
bikuf'rihim
for their disbelief
فَلَا
falā
so not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūna
they believe
إِلَّا
illā
except
قَلِيلًۭا
qalīlan
a few
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ءَامِنُواْ بِمَا نَزَّلْنَا مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا مَعَكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن نَّطْمِسَ وُجُوهًا فَنَرُدَّهَا عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِهَآ أَوْ نَلْعَنَهُمْ كَمَا لَعَنَّآ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلسَّبْتِۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ مَفْعُولاً ﴿٤٧﴾

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
who
أُوتُوا۟
ūtū
(have) been given
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ
l-kitāba
the Book
ءَامِنُوا۟
āminū
believe
بِمَا
bimā
in what
نَزَّلْنَا
nazzalnā
We (have) revealed
مُصَدِّقًۭا
muṣaddiqan
confirming
لِّمَا
limā
what is
مَعَكُم
maʿakum
with you
مِّن
min
from
قَبْلِ
qabli
before
أَن
an
[that]
نَّطْمِسَ
naṭmisa
We efface
وُجُوهًۭا
wujūhan
faces
فَنَرُدَّهَا
fanaruddahā
and turn them
عَلَىٰٓ
ʿalā
on
أَدْبَارِهَآ
adbārihā
their backs
أَوْ
aw
or
نَلْعَنَهُمْ
nalʿanahum
We curse them
كَمَا
kamā
as
لَعَنَّآ
laʿannā
We cursed
أَصْحَـٰبَ
aṣḥāba
companions
ٱلسَّبْتِ ۚ
l-sabti
(of) the Sabbath
وَكَانَ
wakāna
And is
أَمْرُ
amru
(the) command
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
مَفْعُولًا
mafʿūlan
(always) executed
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٲلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُۚ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدِ ٱفْتَرَىٰٓ إِثْمًا عَظِيمًا ﴿٤٨﴾
Mot à mot
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
لَا
lā
(does) not
يَغْفِرُ
yaghfiru
forgive
أَن
an
that
يُشْرَكَ
yush'raka
partners be associated
بِهِۦ
bihi
with Him
وَيَغْفِرُ
wayaghfiru
but He forgives
مَا
mā
from
دُونَ
dūna
other than
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لِمَن
liman
for whom
يَشَآءُ ۚ
yashāu
He wills
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُشْرِكْ
yush'rik
associates partners
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
with Allah
فَقَدِ
faqadi
then surely
ٱفْتَرَىٰٓ
if'tarā
he has fabricated
إِثْمًا
ith'man
a sin
عَظِيمًا
ʿaẓīman
tremendous
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يُزَكُّونَ أَنفُسَهُمۚ بَلِ ٱللَّهُ يُزَكِّى مَن يَشَآءُ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلاً ﴿٤٩﴾
Mot à mot
أَلَمْ
alam
Do not
تَرَ
tara
you see
إِلَى
ilā
[towards]
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
يُزَكُّونَ
yuzakkūna
claim purity
أَنفُسَهُم ۚ
anfusahum
(for) themselves
بَلِ
bali
Nay
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
(it is) Allah
يُزَكِّى
yuzakkī
He purifies
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
وَلَا
walā
and not
يُظْلَمُونَ
yuẓ'lamūna
they will be wronged
فَتِيلًا
fatīlan
(even as much as) a hair on a date-seed
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَۖ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦٓ إِثْمًا مُّبِينًا ﴿٥٠﴾

مُّبِينًا
