An-Naba

جَزَآءًۭ

jazāan

A recompense

وِفَاقًا

wifāqan

appropriate

إِنَّهُمْ

innahum

Indeed, they

كَانُوا۟

kānū

were

لَا

lā

not

يَرْجُونَ

yarjūna

expecting

حِسَابًۭا

ḥisāban

an account

وَكَذَّبُوا۟

wakadhabū

And they denied

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

biāyātinā

Our Signs

كِذَّابًۭا

kidhāban

(with) denial

وَكُلَّ

wakulla

And every

شَىْءٍ

shayin

thing

أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ

aḥṣaynāhu

We have enumerated it

كِتَـٰبًۭا

kitāban

(in) a Book

فَذُوقُوا۟

fadhūqū

So taste

فَلَن

falan

and never

نَّزِيدَكُمْ

nazīdakum

We will increase you

إِلَّا

illā

except

عَذَابًا

ʿadhāban

(in) punishment

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

lil'muttaqīna

for the righteous

مَفَازًا

mafāzan

(is) success

حَدَآئِقَ

ḥadāiqa

Gardens

وَأَعْنَـٰبًۭا

wa-aʿnāban

and grapevines

وَكَوَاعِبَ

wakawāʿiba

And splendid companions

أَتْرَابًۭا

atrāban

well-matched

وَكَأْسًۭا

wakasan

And a cup

دِهَاقًۭا

dihāqan

full

لَّا

lā

Not

يَسْمَعُونَ

yasmaʿūna

they will hear

فِيهَا

fīhā

therein

لَغْوًۭا

laghwan

any vain talk

وَلَا

walā

and not

كِذَّٰبًۭا

kidhāban

any falsehood

جَزَآءًۭ

jazāan

(As) a reward

مِّن

min

from

رَّبِّكَ

rabbika

your Lord

عَطَآءً

ʿaṭāan

a gift

حِسَابًۭا

ḥisāban

(according to) account

رَّبِّ

rabbi

Lord

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

l-samāwāti

(of) the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضِ

wal-arḍi

and the earth

وَمَا

wamā

and whatever

بَيْنَهُمَا

baynahumā

(is) between both of them

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۖ

l-raḥmāni

the Most Gracious

لَا

lā

not

يَمْلِكُونَ

yamlikūna

they have power

مِنْهُ

min'hu

from Him

خِطَابًۭا

khiṭāban

(to) address

يَوْمَ

yawma

(The) Day

يَقُومُ

yaqūmu

will stand

ٱلرُّوحُ

l-rūḥu

the Spirit

وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ

wal-malāikatu

and the Angels

صَفًّۭا ۖ

ṣaffan

(in) rows

لَّا

lā

not

يَتَكَلَّمُونَ

yatakallamūna

they will speak

إِلَّا

illā

except

مَنْ

man

(one) who

أَذِنَ

adhina

permits

لَهُ

lahu

[for] him

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ

l-raḥmānu

the Most Gracious

وَقَالَ

waqāla

and he (will) say

صَوَابًۭا

ṣawāban

(what is) correct

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

That

ٱلْيَوْمُ

l-yawmu

(is) the Day

ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ

l-ḥaqu

the True

فَمَن

faman

So whoever

شَآءَ

shāa

wills

ٱتَّخَذَ

ittakhadha

let him take

إِلَىٰ

ilā

towards

رَبِّهِۦ

rabbihi

his Lord

مَـَٔابًا

maāban

a return

إِنَّآ

innā

Indeed We

أَنذَرْنَـٰكُمْ

andharnākum

[We] have warned you

عَذَابًۭا

ʿadhāban

(of) a punishment

قَرِيبًۭا

qarīban

near

يَوْمَ

yawma

(the) Day

يَنظُرُ

yanẓuru

will see

ٱلْمَرْءُ

l-maru

the man

مَا

mā

what

قَدَّمَتْ

qaddamat

have sent forth

يَدَاهُ

yadāhu

his hands

وَيَقُولُ

wayaqūlu

and will say

ٱلْكَافِرُ

l-kāfiru

the disbeliever

يَـٰلَيْتَنِى

yālaytanī

O I wish

كُنتُ

kuntu

I were

تُرَٰبًۢا

turāban

dust
